Abstract: A chip capable of controlling a panel to perform fingerprint sensing is provided. Fingerprint sensing pixels of the panel are divided into a plurality of fingerprint zones along a first direction. The chip includes a control circuit. The control circuit provides multiple control signals for controlling the panel to perform fingerprint sensing. The control signals include multiple start pulse signals. The start pulse signals are used to indicate the selected fingerprint zone. The number of the fingerprint zones is greater than the number of the start pulse signals.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a fingerprint recognition driving method for a display panel, the display panel including a fingerprint recognition circuit, a fingerprint recognition driving circuit and a controller, the fingerprint recognition driving circuit being used to provide a fingerprint recognition driving signal to the fingerprint recognition circuit, the fingerprint recognition driving method including: periodically arranging, by the controller, time periods for display and touch in a case that the controller does not receive a fingerprint recognition start signal; periodically arranging, by the controller, time periods for display and touch and time periods for fingerprint recognition at intervals in a case that the controller receives the fingerprint recognition start signal; generating, by the controller, a first fingerprint recognition reset signal during at least one time period for display and touch, and the fingerprint recognition driving circuit being reset under the control of the first fingerprint recognition reset signal.

Abstract: A fingerprint recognition apparatus including a frontplane, a backplane and a display medium layer is provided. The frontplane includes an upper substrate, a black matrix layer and a color filter layer. The black matrix layer is disposed on the upper substrate, and the color filter layer is disposed on the black matrix layer. The black matrix layer includes a plurality of pixel apertures and a plurality of first apertures. The backplane includes a lower substrate and a sensor layer. The sensor layer includes a plurality of photo sensing elements. The photo sensing elements are configured to receive reflected lights from an object through the first apertures of the black matrix layer. Areas of the photo sensing elements are overlapped with the first apertures in a longitudinal direction. The display medium layer is disposed between the frontplane and the backplane.

Abstract: A method and device of fingerprint image generation for saving memory. The method includes generating a first fingerprint image of an original data size according to a plurality of first analog sensing signals which are read from a fingerprint sensor array before an exposure period ends. Then the first fingerprint image represented by a first data size which is equivalent to or smaller than the original data size is stored. a second fingerprint image of the original data size is generated after generating the first fingerprint image of the original data size according to a plurality of second analog sensing signals which are read from the fingerprint sensor array during the exposure period. The second fingerprint image represented by a compressed data size smaller than the original data size is then stored.

Abstract: A method of sensing an image from a panel for an image sensing circuit includes the steps of: transmitting a first voltage or current to the panel; receiving a plurality of sensing signals from the panel, wherein the plurality of sensing signals correspond to the first voltage or current; determining whether the plurality of sensing signals conform to an operation range of the image sensing circuit; and adjusting the first voltage or current when the plurality of sensing signals are determined to be not conform to the operation range of the image sensing circuit.
