摘要： A method of producing a drill bit, such as for drilling a well into an earth formation, includes forming a bit body having a plurality of blades. Each of the plurality of blades includes a forward facing face with respect to a direction of rotation of the bit. The forward facing face includes individual cutter pockets at least partially recessed into the forward facing face. The method also includes securing a cutting element at least partially within each of the individual cutter pockets. Each cutting element has an abrasion resistance. Each of the plurality of blades is formed of a blade material having an abrasion resistance that is less than the abrasion resistance of the cutting element.

摘要： A hand-held game that includes a plurality of input devices, an audible output device, and a controller coupled to each of the input devices and to the audible output device. Preferably, each of the input devices require a different mechanical action for action, such as a pressure switch, a pull switch or a rotational switch. The controller outputs a first command signal to the audible output device that relates to a first selected input device. The controller then outputs a second command signal to the audible output device relating to a second selected input device when the first selected input device is actuated within a predetermined period of time. When the first selected input device is not actuated within the predetermined period of time, or when an input device other than the selected input device is actuated in response to the first command signal, the controller outputs an error command signal to the audible output device. The controller then ceases to output command signals to the audible output device after outputting the error command signal. According to the invention, the second command can relate to a second selected input device or can be an audible indication, such as a voice message, for a user to pass the game apparatus to another user.

摘要： An exercise device for simulating walking and stairclimbing and providing low impact aerobics for exercising the lower body. The exercise device includes a frame mounted on a base. The frame includes an upright standard mounted on a front of the base and angled rearwardly. A handle bar with handle bar grips is attached to a top of the standard. An upper end of a pair of hydraulic cylinders is attached to the standard. A lower end of the hydraulic cylinders is attached to a first and second independent step. A front pivot portion of the steps is mounted on a pivot shaft which is mounted on the standard. A pair of torsion springs is disposed around opposite ends of the pivot shaft. The torsion springs bias the steps upwardly at an angle above the horizontal. When a user of the exercise device steps on a rear step portion of the steps and downward pressure is applied on the first step, the cylinder telescopes downwardly and the torsion spring is flexed around the pivot staff. When downward pressure is applied on the second step and the pressure relieved from the first step, the second step moves downwardly as the first step returns to its upward position. By first applying pressure on one foot and lifting the other foot, a natural floating type simulation of climbing steps occurs when using the subject exercise device.
