An air data probe includes a probe body including a sense port inlet defined through a wall of the probe body. At least a portion of the wall surrounding the sense port inlet is defined by a deposited material having a different microstructure than a material defining another portion of the wall.

摘要: An air data probe includes a strut including a socket defining an interior surface of the strut and an interior groove extending radially into the interior surface. The air data probe also includes a probe head partially positioned within the socket, the probe head including an exterior surface and an exterior groove extending radially into the exterior surface, the exterior groove being axially alignable with the interior groove. The air data probe further includes a retaining ring partially positionable within the exterior groove and partially positionable within the interior groove when the exterior groove and the interior groove are axially aligned to axially retain the probe head to the strut while allowing the probe head to rotate relative to the strut.

摘要: A pitot tube includes a substantially cylindrical body portion and a tip portion extending along a pitot tube axis from the body portion. The tip portion includes an inlet opening and a radially tapering outer surface extending from the body portion toward the inlet opening. Another pitot tube includes a substantially cylindrical body portion and a tip portion extending along a pitot tube axis from the body portion. The tip portion includes an inlet opening. One or more electrical coils including one or more coil wraps are located at an interior of the pitot tube. One or more bulkheads are located between a forwardmost coil wrap and a drainage feature to limit travel of particles ingested into the interior.

摘要: A probe head of an air data probe includes an insert, a portion of a heater, an outer shell, a tip weld, and a braze. The insert includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a body portion extending between the first end and the second end. The body portion includes a groove. The portion of the heater is positioned within the groove. The outer shell surrounds the insert and the portion of the heater. The outer shell includes a tip portion defining a first end of the outer shell and a body portion extending from the tip portion defining a second end of the outer shell. The tip weld is between the outer shell and the first end of the insert, and the braze is between the insert and the second end of the outer shell adjacent a second end of the insert. The portion of the heater is hermetically sealed between the insert and the outer shell.
