    摘要: Novel naphthol derivatives, and various azo compounds and metal complexes prepared by using the derivatives are provided. The instant invention provides naphthol derivatives represented by general formula (1); wherein at least one of Y1 and Y2 is a group represented by formula (2); wherein X1 is —O—, —S— or —NH—; and Z is an optionally substituted aromatic group or heterocyclic group having conjugated double bonds, and salts thereof; mono-, bis-, and trisazo compounds prepared from the derivatives; and metal complexes containing the derivatives as the ligand.
