Abstract:
An ink jet recording method includes forming a first ink layer by ejecting a first ink composition including water, a water-soluble organic solvent, and a solid content including at least a coloring material on a recording medium; a first drying step of evaporating 80% by mass or more of water from the first ink composition in the first ink layer; forming a second ink layer by ejecting a second ink composition including water, a water-soluble organic solvent, and a solid content including at least a coloring material on the first ink layer; and a second drying step of evaporating a volatile component of the recording medium after forming the second ink layer, in which, assuming r1 is “water-soluble organic solvent content/solid content” of the first ink composition and r2 is “water-soluble organic solvent content/solid content” of the second ink composition”, “r2/r1” is 2 or less.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording method includes layer forming which includes image recording which records an image by discharging an ink composition which contains water and coloring materials on a recording surface of a recording medium having low absorbency or non-absorbency to ink, and protective layer forming which forms a protective layer on the image by discharging a clear ink composition which contains resin particles and substantially does not contain a coloring material; and heating and drying which includes first heating which heats the recording surface at a glass transition temperature or more of the resin particles after the layer forming, and first drying which performs ventilation while heating the recording surface at a heating temperature or less of the recording surface in the first heating after the first heating, in which the drying time in the first drying is two times or more the heating time in the first heating.
Abstract:
Ink for ink jet recording includes a coloring material and alkylpolyols, wherein the alkylpolyols include two or more types of first alkylpolyols having a log P value of greater than or equal to −0.7 and less than or equal to 0.01, and a normal boiling point of greater than or equal to 180° C. and lower than or equal to 250° C., and the content of the alkylpolyols is greater than or equal to 5% by mass and less than or equal to 30% by mass.
Abstract:
An ink composition includes at least a coloring material, two or more polysiloxane surfactants having different solubilities in water, and alkyl polyols having a boiling point at one atmosphere of 180 to 230° C. The ink composition does not substantially contain alkyl polyols having a boiling point at one atmosphere of 280° C. or more and enables recording on a non-ink-absorbing or low-ink-absorbing recording medium.
