    摘要: A seat reclining device has a first arm member adapted to be secured to the seat cushion frame or the seat back frame, a second arm member rotatably supported by the first arm member and adapted to be secured to the other of the seat cushion frame and the seat back frame, and a plurality of pawls for locking an adjusted angle of the seat back. The pawls are disposed on the first arm member and include at least a first pawl and a second pawl. Only one of the first and second pawls is provided with an engaging portion. The second arm member is provided with a receiving portion for preventing the engagement of the outer gear with the inner gear when the engaging portion contacts the receiving portion during relative rotational movement of the first and second arm members.

The nut member extends downwardly between the opposed walls of the upper rail to the base of the lower rail to form separated spaces at the both sides of the nut member and between laterally elongated slide members of the upper rail and the base portion of the lower rail. These separated spaces are helpful in arranging the rollers without any interference with the nut member or the screw member.

The apparatus includes a first confirmation unit for sensing, in a first period of time, a key switch state of the key matrix to confirm whether or not two or more depressed keys exist on a row of the key matrix and a second confirmation unit for sensing again, in a second period of time, a key switch state of the key matrix such that when two or more depressed keys exist on a column of the key matrix, a confirmation is made to determine whether or not two or more depressed keys exist on the row on which the key depression is found in the key matrix. The apparatus temporarily reserves, when the first and second confirmation units confirm that two or more depressed keys exist both of the column and the row of the key matrix, a depression processing of a key switch associated with the depressed keys.

The movement of the upper-side frame when tilted comes close to the movement of the passenger who bends forward. The slip between the seatback outer layer and the back of the passenger can be minimized, and thus, it becomes possible to lessen an uncomfortable feeling of a passenger.
