Abstract: A display device includes: a substrate including a light emitting area and a non-light emitting area adjacent to the light emitting area, a light emitting element including a light emitting layer disposed in the light emitting area on the substrate, an encapsulation layer disposed on the light emitting layer and including at least one inorganic layer and at least one organic layer, and a plurality of light blocking patterns disposed on the encapsulation layer. Each of the plurality of light blocking patterns has an asymmetric shape with respect to a virtual center line thereof.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel. The display panel includes a transistor, an insulating layer disposed on the transistor, a light emitting element electrically connected to the transistor and including a first electrode disposed on the insulating layer, a light emitting layer disposed on the first electrode, and a second electrode disposed on the light emitting layer, a stopper pattern disposed spaced apart from the first electrode, a pixel definition layer provided on the stopper pattern. A first opening extends through the pixel definition layer to the first electrode, and a second opening extends through the pixel defining layer to the stopper pattern. A thin film encapsulation layer disposed on the pixel definition layer and inside the second opening, covering the light emitting element.
