Abstract: Provided is a display apparatus. The display apparatus includes a display module on which a display area and a non-display area configured to surround the display area and a backlight unit providing light to the display module. The display module includes an upper substrate including a wire layer configured to polarize the incident light, a lower substrate including a plurality of pixel electrodes and a common electrode line, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the upper substrate and the lower substrate.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display including: a display panel including an upper panel, a lower panel, and a liquid crystal layer disposed therebetween; and a backlight unit configured to provide light to the display panel. The upper panel includes a color conversion layer and an upper polarizer that respectively include semiconductor nanocrystals, the lower panel includes at least one of a B-plate compensation layer and an A-plate compensation layer, and a lower polarizer, the upper polarizer is disposed at a lower portion of the color conversion layer, and at least one of the upper panel and the lower panel includes a negative type of C-plate compensation layer.
