Abstract: A display module is divided into a light-emitting region and a non-light-emitting region. The display module includes a base layer, a display element layer, an encapsulation substrate on the display element layer, and a light control layer including a colorant. The display element layer includes a pixel defining film having an opening defined therein to correspond to the light-emitting region, light-emitting elements adjacent to the pixel defining film, a first electrode exposed by the opening, a hole transport region on the first electrode to correspond to the light-emitting region and on the pixel defining film in the non-light-emitting region, a light-emitting layer on the hole transport layer to correspond to the light-emitting region, an electron transport layer on the light-emitting layer to correspond to the light-emitting region and on the hole transport layer in the non-light-emitting region, and a film formation suppression layer in the non-light-emitting region.
