Abstract: A method and an apparatus for operating an electronic device for changing a setting value are provided. In the method, a touch input for a set region is detected, so that a mode is switched to a setting change mode for changing a stored setting value. At least one guide interface for receiving a change of at least one setting value among stored setting values is displayed. A predetermined gesture for an arbitrary region of the displayed at least one guide interface is detected, so that whether to store a changed at least one setting value is determined.
