Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for sharing device capabilities of Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) devices with a service provider entity. Device capabilities of one or more UPnP devices in a UPnP home network environment are obtained. The device capabilities are aggregated. The aggregated device capabilities are mapped in a user agent profile. The user agent profile including the device capabilities is communicated to the service provider entity so that the service provider entity delivers telephony services to the one or more UPnP devices according to respective device capabilities.
