Abstract:
An apparatus for generating an image in a portable terminal includes a camera unit and an image generating unit. The camera unit is provided with a single camera module and configured to acquire a first image corresponding to a left viewpoint and a second image corresponding to one of a complementary right or left viewpoint. The image generating unit is configured to determine a photographing region of the second image corresponding to the complementary right or left viewpoint, based on the first image, and acquire the second image in the determined photographing region of the second image using the camera unit.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for operating a camera function in a portable terminal are provided. State information representing at least one of a direction and a rotation state of the portable terminal is obtained, and at least one of a sequence of reading an image from a camera sensor and an appropriate user interface is determined depending on the state information. Thus, the camera function is performed depending on the determined sequence or user interface.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing a Web camera service in a portable terminal are provided. A method for providing a Web camera service in a portable terminal preferably includes detecting connection with an external device, entering a Web camera mode, setting the kind (type) of an image to be transmitted to the connected external device, and transmitting, to the external device, at least one of a camera image and an image for storage contents according to the set kind.
Abstract:
A polarizer includes a first base layer, a reflective polarizing layer and a protective layer. The reflective polarizing layer includes a plurality of a wire-grid polarizer (“WGP”) pattern disposed on the first base layer and spaced apart from each other at substantially uniform intervals. The protective layer contacts the reflective polarizing layer to define an air layer between the WGP patterns, the first base layer and the protective layer.
Abstract:
A light guide unit includes a body part and a plurality of tunnel lens portions disposed thereon. The tunnel lens portions protrude from an upper surface of the body part in a first direction normal to the upper surface. The tunnel lens portions include an outer surface connected to the upper surface and an inner surface connected to a lower surface of the body part. The outer surface has a concave shape, and respective edges of the concave shape define a first peak and a second peak on the outer surface. The inner surface protrudes in the first direction from the lower surface to define a lamp receiving space. The inner surface has a movement-preventing protrusion which contacts a lamp disposed in the lamp receiving space to prevent the lamp from moving.
