摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display module or a liquid crystal display device which can prevent the generation of display irregularities. In the liquid crystal display module which includes a liquid crystal display panel, a frame-like mold frame, alight guide plate, and a reflection sheet, the liquid crystal display panel is arranged on an upper side of the mold frame, the light guide plate and the reflection sheet are arranged on a lower side of the mold frame, the reflection sheet is adhered to the mold frame using an adhesive agent which is formed on at least two sides of the reflection sheet which face each other in an opposed manner, and a portion of one side of the reflection sheet on which the adhesive agent is arranged has a length larger than a length of a portion of another side of the reflection sheet on which the adhesive agent is arranged.

摘要: A back substrate has a plurality of electron emission elements. A display substrate comprises an optically transparent substrate disposed opposite to the back substrate; an accelerating electrode formed on the inner face of the optically transparent substrate for accelerating electron beams emitted from the electron emission elements; and luminescent materials excited by the electron beams to emit light toward the outer face of the optically transparent substrate. A frame member supports the back substrate and display substrate on their peripheries. A vacuum chamber is defined by the back substrate, display substrate, and frame member. A conductor electrically connected to the accelerating electrode is drawn out to the outside of the vacuum chamber. A high voltage connector for supplying an accelerating voltage to the conductor is removably connected to the conductor.

摘要: Disclosed is an optical filter having an electromagnetic shield capable of shielding unnecessary radiation of electromagnetic waves from a PDP, in which satisfactory reduction of undesired radiation is achieved even by employing a relatively low price optical filter. A plasma display apparatus of the invention includes: a conductive rear surface cover covering a rear surface of a plasma display panel; an optical filter provided with an conductive layer having a surface resistance of 0.5 Ω/square or above, which is disposed at the front surface of the plasma display panel and serves to reduce leakage of electromagnetic waves from the plasma display panel; optical filter protecting members electrically connected with the rear surface cover, for protecting/retaining the optical filter; and a conductive body having elasticity, which is interposed between the optical filter and the optical filter protecting member. A plurality of bosses are formed in the optical filter protecting members. A part of the elastic conductive body is compressed by the bosses and connection resistance with the elastic conductive body is reduced.

摘要: According to the present invention, area control of a liquid crystal display device prevents luminance insufficiency attributing to leaking of illumination light between adjacent areas. A peak luminance detector detects a peak luminance area in which a luminance level is equal to or higher than a first threshold. A peripheral luminance detector detects luminance levels of peripheral areas located adjacent to the peak luminance area. When the average of the luminance levels of the peripheral areas is equal to or lower than a second threshold, a peak luminance corrector increases a light source luminance level of a backlight cell that corresponds to the peak luminance area.

摘要: The initial color temperature setting can change when a plasma display panel (PDP) is driven for a long period of time. One cause is due to the non-uniform deterioration of red, green, and blue fluorescent materials due to the ultraviolet rays discharged during operation of the panel. Color temperature correction is performed by setting the numbers of discharge pulses for fluorescent materials in accordance with a discharge pulse number correction curve with respect to the cumulative elapsed driven time of the PDP.

摘要: The present invention mechanically protects a surface of a miniaturized liquid crystal display device for mobile phone or the like without deteriorating image quality and without increasing a thickness of a whole display device. To achieve such an object, in the present invention, a liquid crystal display panel is constituted of a TFT substrate and a color filter substrate, a lower polarizer is adhered to a lower surface of the TFT substrate, and an upper polarizer is adhered to an upper surface of the color filter substrate. A face plate is adhered to the upper polarizer using an acrylic adhesive material which is cured by ultraviolet rays. For enhancing strength and adhesion property of the face plate, corners and side portions of the face plate are chamfered. By making a profile of the face plate smaller than a profile of the upper polarizer, the adhesion property of the face plate is enhanced. The present invention can protect the surface of the liquid crystal display panel without deteriorating image quality and without largely increasing a thickness of the display device.

摘要: A face plate on which a frame is formed for improved design aesthetics is bonded to a top surface of an upper polarizer of a liquid crystal display panel with a pressure-sensitive adhesive material. The frame on the face plate is formed from five layers of printing. The pressure-sensitive adhesive material has a three-layer structure having a first pressure-sensitive adhesive member, a base material, and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive member. The first pressure-sensitive adhesive member is formed thicker than the second pressure-sensitive adhesive member, and hence the pressure-sensitive adhesive material can maintain a necessary thickness above the frame formed on the face plate. The reliability of adhesion between the face plate and the liquid crystal display panel is thus improved.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device which can prevent the generation of bubbles on an adhesive surface between a liquid crystal display panel and a face plate which protects the liquid crystal display panel is provided. In mounting the face plate on an upper polarizer of the liquid crystal display panel by way of an adhesive material, a picture frame is formed on a periphery of the face plate for enhancing design property. Although the picture frame is formed by printing black ink, a quantity of Si present in the black ink is set to not more than 0.7% and not less than 0.01% thus preventing the generation of bubbles attributed to defective adhesion between the face plate and the adhesive material.
