Abstract:
A portable-device position determination system has a portable device that is configured to be possessed by a user, and an in-vehicle device that is mounted on a vehicle and conducts wireless communication with the portable device. The in-vehicle device transmits a request signal to the portable device. The portable device detects a received signal intensity of the request signal to send back the received signal intensity to the in-vehicle device. The in-vehicle device compares the received signal intensity of the request signal detected by the portable device to a threshold to determine a position of the portable device. The in-vehicle device includes a transmission controller that generates the request signal, supplies an electric power to a transmitting antenna, and transmits the request signal from the transmitting antenna, and a current detector that detects a current passed through the transmitting antenna when the request signal is transmitted.
Abstract:
An absorbable resin, for which a large amount of a plant-derived raw material can be used, and which has an excellent capability of absorbing an aqueous liquid, and has a good gel modulus and therefore can exhibit an excellent absorbing capability under pressurized conditions; and an absorbable composition. An absorbable resin produced by binding an oxidized polysaccharide (A1) having a carboxyl group which may be neutralized with a neutralizing agent and/or a crosslinked product thereof (A2) to a poly(meth)acrylic acid (B1) in which at least one carboxyl group may be neutralized with a neutralizing agent and/or a crosslinked product thereof (B2); or an absorbable composition produced by mixing the component (A1) and/or the component (A2) with the component (B1) and/or the component (B2). The component (A1) has a weight average molecular weight of 2,000-10,000,000. The component (A1) has an acid value of 65-850 mgKOH/g. When the component (A1) has a carboxyl group which is neutralized with a neutralizing agent, the acid value of the component (A1) before the neutralization is 65-850 mgKOH/g.
Abstract:
A radio communication system has a fixed radio communication unit that sends a request for authentication, and portable radio communication units. Each portable radio communication unit receives the request, transmits presence information to the portable radio communication units, and determines whether presence information from more than one portable radio communication unit was received. When it is determined that the presence information from only one portable radio communication unit was received, the portable radio communication unit transmits an answer to the fixed radio communication unit. When it is determined that presence information from more than one portable radio communication unit was received, each portable radio communication unit sets a response delay time by a specified setting method, and after a lapse of the response delay time, an answer is sent to the fixed radio communication unit. The fixed radio communication unit authenticates the portable radio communication units that sent the answer.
