    摘要: The invention relates to devices and methods for cleaning centrifugal separators for concurrent and countercurrent separation of solid and/or liquid particles suspended in gaseous media. The device comprises a rotor (12) which is provided with a multiplicity of sedimentation members (14) and which is mounted rotatably in a surrounding housing (20). In concurrent separation, a flushing nozzle (36) is arranged upstream of the sedimentation members (14) in order to supply a cleaning liquid for flushing the sedimentation members clean. In countercurrent separation, the flushing nozzle is arranged upstream and/or downstream of the sedimentation members in order to supply cleaning liquid from outside and/or from inside the rotor for flushing the sedimentation members clean.

    摘要: A centrifuge having a drum rotatable in a predetermined direction about a drum axis has a cleaning device with a cleaning shaft extending generally parallel to the drum axis into the drum along a shaft axis. A pair of elongated slat-shaped cutters have inner ends fixed on the shaft, outer ends, and project radially outward of the shaft axis from the shaft. The inner ends are separated by a relatively narrow space, and the cutters diverge from their inner ends toward their outer ends. The shaft can be moved such that the cutters are displaced between a standby position offset from the drum and a cleaning position closely juxtaposed therewith. A cleaning liquid is fed to each cutter such that it flows along the cutters.

    摘要: In a particular type of centrifugal rotor for dividing a liquid mixture into one liquid phase having a low viscosity and one concentrate phase having a high viscosity, the concentrate phase on its way towards an outlet chamber (17) in the rotor has to flow through a vortex device (20). The vortex device has a property of admitting therethrough a larger flow of a liquid if this has a high viscosity than if it has a low viscosity. For making an operation for cleaning of the rotor and conduits for concentrate phase downstream of the rotor more efficient, a cleaning liquid, which has a low viscosity, is conducted not only through the vortex device (20) to said outlet chamber (17) for concentrate phase but to this outlet chamber (17) also through a separate passage (34). Thereby, it is guaranteed that a sufficient flow of cleaning liquid enters the concentrate outlet chamber (17) and from there can be pumped out of the rotor to the concentrate phase conduits downstream of the rotor.

    摘要: The internal cleaning of a centrifuge rotor is performed by a cleaning liquid is which pumped from a tank via an inlet channel to a central inlet chamber of the rotor during rotation thereof. A separation chamber is connected to the inlet chamber and, at different radial levels, to two outlet chambers via separate outlet passages. Cleaning liquid is discharged from the outlet chambers through a stationary discharge device having separate outlet channels. Part of the cleaning liquid discharged through the outlet channels is returned to the tank via a return conduit. The rest of the cleaning liquid is conducted directly to the inlet channel by means of an overpressure generated in the stationary discharge device. Thereby, it is possible to clean the rotor internally even very close to its rotational axis.
