Abstract: This disclosure relates to ethylene interpolymer compositions. Specifically, ethylene interpolymer products having: a Dilution Index (Yd) greater than 0; total catalytic metal ≥3.0 ppm; ≥0.03 terminal vinyl unsaturations per 100 carbon atoms, and; optionally a Dimensionless Modulus (Xd) greater than 0. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.3 to about 500 dg/minute, a density from about 0.869 to about 0.975 g/cm3, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) from about 2 to about 25 and a CDBI50 from about 20% to about 97%. Further, the ethylene interpolymer products are a blend of at least two ethylene interpolymers; where one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a single-site catalyst formulation and at least one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a heterogeneous catalyst formulation.

Abstract: A method for making a laminate comprises the steps of applying a hot melt adhesive composition in a molten state to a primary substrate and mating a secondary substrate to the first substrate by contacting the secondary substrate with the adhesive composition. The composition comprises a polymer blend based on a low molecular weight semicrystalline propylene based polymer and a high molecular weight essentially amorphous propylene based polymer, both of which are prepared by using single-site catalysts. The composition further contains a compatible tackifier, a plasticizer, an antioxidant, and optionally a wax, a filler, a colorant, a UV absorber, another polymer, or combinations thereof. Particularly preferred applications include nonwoven disposable diaper and feminine sanitary napkin construction, diaper and adult incontinent brief elastic attachment, diaper and napkin core stabilization, diaper backsheet lamination, industrial filter material conversion, and surgical gown and surgical drape assemblies.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to caps and closures manufactured from an ethylene interpolymer product, or a blend containing an ethylene interpolymer product, where the ethylene interpolymer product has: a Dilution Index (Yd) greater than 0; total catalytic metal ≥3.0 ppm; ≥0.03 terminal vinyl unsaturations per 100 carbon atoms, and; optionally a Dimensionless Modulus (Xd) greater than 0. The ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.4 to about 20 dg/minute, a density from about 0.948 to about 0.968 g/cm3, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) from about 2 to about 25 and a CDBI50 from about 54% to about 98%. Further, the ethylene interpolymer products are a blend of at least two ethylene interpolymers; where one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a single-site catalyst formulation and at least one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a heterogeneous catalyst formulation.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to films comprising at least one layer of an ethylene interpolymer product. The ethylene interpolymer product comprises a first ethylene interpolymer, a second ethylene interpolymer and optionally a third ethylene interpolymer; wherein the ethylene interpolymer product has ≥0.03 terminal vinyl unsaturations per 100 carbon atoms and ≥3 parts per million (ppm) of a total catalytic metal; and optionally a Dilution Index, Yd, greater than 0. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.4 to about 10 dg/minute, a density from about 0.900 to about 0.940 g/cm3, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) from about 2 to about 12 and a CDBI50 from about 20% to about 98%. Further, the ethylene interpolymer products are a blend of at least two ethylene interpolymers; where one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a single-site catalyst formulation and at least one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a heterogeneous catalyst formulation.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a continuous solution polymerization process where ethylene interpolymer products having an improved color index; for example, products having higher whiteness (Whiteness Index (WI)) and lower yellowness (Yellowness Index (YI)). Product color was improved by adjusting selected solution polymerization reaction conditions. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have improved color relative to comparative polyethylene compositions.
