More specifically disclosed are genetically engineered variants of N-acetylgalactosamine-6-sulfatase (GALNS), which are less immunogenetic then wild-type GALNS, but maintain enzymatic activity, and may be used to treat Mucopolysaccharidosis IVA (Morquio A disease, MPS IVA).
