Abstract:
A novel planking system utilizing an inventive groove design is provided. The novel groove is defined by two opposing side walls and a groove end wall. The groove side walls present two generally opposed tongue-engaging projections that automatically provide a uniform space between planks during installation, and accommodate expansion of the planks after installation by breaking away when force is exerted on the projections by an adjacent plank. The present invention is also concerned with a combination of planks having an inventive tongue-and-groove configuration, as well as inventive methods of assembling planks to accommodate the expansion and contraction of the assembled planks after installation.
Abstract:
A split floor contains multiple bottom plates and multiple top plates. The multiple bottom plates are fixed on a ground, and multiple top plates connected on the multiple bottom plates. A top of a respective one bottom plate is a plane. A coupling layer is formed on a top of the respective one bottom plate or a bottom of a respective one top plate, and the coupling layer is an adhesive layer or a vacuum layer. The respective one bottom plate includes at least one groove and at least one tenon formed on a peripheral side of the respective one bottom plate, such that any two adjacent bottom plates are connected. The respective one top plate includes at least one groove and at least one tenon formed on a peripheral side of the respective one top plate, such that any two adjacent top plates are connected.
Abstract:
A set of panels including a first panel and a second panel. A first edge of the first panel and a second edge of the second are configured to be locked together and assembled by a vertical displacement of the second edge relative the first edge. The first edge includes a locking element configured to cooperate with a locking groove at the second edge for locking in a horizontal and in the vertical direction. The first edge includes a tongue configured to cooperate with a tongue groove at the second edge for locking in a vertical direction. An upper part of the first edge includes a first guiding surface and a lower edge of the lower lip includes a second guiding surface. An upper part of the locking element includes a third guiding surface and a lower edge of the locking groove includes a fourth guiding surface.
Abstract:
A method of producing floor panels is disclosed. The method includes the steps of separating a sheet formed surface material into surface strips and gluing said surface strips to a core with a space between the surface strips. A method of producing floor panels, wherein the method includes the steps of: separating a sheet formed surface layer material into surface strips; and gluing the surface strips to a sheet of core material to be cut into a plurality of floor panels, and providing a space between the surface strips, and cutting the sheet of core material, at the space, into at least two individual floor panels, forming a mechanical locking system in the sheet of core material at the space.
Abstract:
A composed element, such as a piece of furniture, wherein the composed element comprises at least a rear wall, as well as a number of constructional parts forming a whole in which the rear wall has to be provided. The rear wall forms the rear side of the composed element and includes one or more rear wall parts. The composed element comprises seats for installing at least one of the rear wall parts, which are configured such that the rear wall part can be slid into the seats starting from the rear side of the composed element from a position differing from the final plane in which the rear wall part will be situated in the final condition.
Abstract:
A method of producing floor panels is disclosed. The method includes the steps of separating a roll formed surface material (51) into surface strips (53) and gluing said surface strips to a core (50) with a space (54) between the surface strips (53).
Abstract:
A system for forming a flooring includes rectangular floorboards (1, 1′) including first and second types of floorboards (A, B), on which first and second locking devices are arranged in pairs on opposing short edges (5a, 5b) and long edges (4a, 4b), respectively, and on which the locking device of the first type of floorboard (A) along one pair of opposing joint edges is mirror inverted relative to the corresponding locking device along the same pair of opposing joint edges of the second type of floorboard (B). The system includes a third type of floorboard (C), which is so designed that a first one (5b) of its two short edges presents the first locking device (12) and both its long edges (4a, 4b) and its other short edge (5a) presents the second locking device.
