    摘要: A lock system comprises a lock core and a token. The lock core comprises a core body, a lock actuator coupled to the core body for rotation about an axis, a blocker movable perpendicular with the axis, and an electromagnetic actuator. The electromagnetic actuator has a shaft that is movable parallel with the axis between a first position in which the blocker is locked to prevent rotation of the lock actuator about the axis and a second position in which the blocker is unlocked to allow rotation of the lock actuator about the axis. The token is couplable mechanically to the lock actuator. The electromagnetic actuator moves the shaft parallel with the axis from the first position to the second position so that the blocker is unlocked if the token has a valid access code.

    摘要: An electronic lock incorporating one or more shape memory metal wire segment as its electromechanical transducer. An electronic control circuit injects electrical current into the shape memory metal wire, causing it to heat up and contract. A gate is positioned by the action of the shape memory metal wire(s) to either allow or block the movement of a locking bolt that affect locking or unlocking. Millions of operational cycles are achieved by limiting the stretching of the shape memory metal wire at low temperature to small percentages of its total length. The design lends itself to miniaturization, with commensurate reduction in power consumption, that is useful to the evolution of future electronic locks.

    摘要: A cylinder lock device (10) for mounting to a security compartment (41), wherein the improvement comprises that the cylinder can be configured by the end user to permit opening of the compartment by at least two of the group of functional operations consisting of turnknob, mechanical key, and electronic key. The cylinder comprises a plug (11), a shell (12) surrounding the plug and defining a first shear line (36) therebetween, and a housing (17) surrounding the shell and defining a second shear line (35) therebetween. One configuration fixes the first shear line to prevent relative rotation between the plug and the shell while permitting rotation of the plug and shell together relative to the housing along the second shear line. Another configuration fixes the second shear line to prevent relative rotation between the shell and the housing while permitting rotation of the plug relative to the shell along the first shear line.

The lock core comprises a core body, a lock actuator coupled to the core body for rotation about an axis, a blocker movable between a locking position in which the lock actuator is prevented from rotating about the axis and a releasing position in which the lock actuator is permitted to rotate about the axis, an electric circuit having a token reader, and an electromagnetic actuator having a shaft that is movable parallel with the axis. The token is couplable mechanically to the lock actuator. The electric circuit signals the electromagnetic actuator to move the shaft parallel with the axis so that the blocker is movable from the locking position to the releasing position if the access code read by the token reader matches a valid access code.

    摘要: A tamper preventing tumbler lock which provides an alarm signal or prevents lock activation when any electrically conductive object, such as a pick or the like, is inserted in the keyway. The lock includes a pair of electrically conductive tumblers which complete an electrical path to activate the alarm or to activate a solenoid operated latch to prevent rotation of the lock cylinder or actuate an associated lock bolt when the conductive tumblers are bridged by the conducting object in the keyway. The lock may be operated as a conventional tumbler lock by means of an electrically non-conductive key.

    摘要: An electronic lock includes a rotatable core movable within an outer body. The rotatable core includes an actuator configured to move a tumbler blocking member into or out of interfering engagement with one or more tumblers. In an unlocked state, the actuator moves the tumbler blocking member so that a movable locking member in the rotatable core that engages the outer body can be moved into the rotatable core. In a locked state, the actuator positions the tumbler blocking member to prevent the one or more tumblers from retracting and thereby retain the locking member in a channel of the outer body.

The solenoid has a shaft that is movable between a first position in which the blocking body is locked to prevent rotation of the lock actuator about the axis and a second position in which the blocking body is unlocked to allow rotation of the lock actuator about the axis. The solenoid moves the shaft from the first position to the second position so that the blocking body is unlocked if the token has a valid access code.
