    摘要: A bent wire door striker has a wire secured to a striker plate. Legs of the wire may be attached to the striker plate at attachment points of different heights compared to the surface of the striker plate and may be of unequal length. A shorter leg of the wire may be attached to a raised portion and/or a cantilevered surface on the striker plate. One of the legs may also include a jog or an angled portion. The jog may have a variable radius, such as a parabolic radius or two distinct radiuses.

    摘要: A vehicle door latch mechanism including safety structural components. The latch mechanism includes a latch bolt having a closed condition capable of retaining a striker and an open condition capable of releasing the striker, a pawl which in use releasably secures the latch bolt in its closed condition, and a retention plate. The retention plate includes at least one mouth which co-operates with a retention means to releasably retain the striker in the mouth, at least one pivot pin hole defining a pivot pin hole surface for a pivot pin which is secured to the retention plate in the hole or is pivotally mounted in the hole, and at least one fixing means for fixing a latch mechanism in its operating position. The latch bolt, pawl and retention plate co-operate in use to releasably retain a striker in which at least one of the said safety critical structural components is made from a plurality of structural laminations of material.

    摘要: A door lock device for use with a striker, comprises a cover plate having an elongate cut into which the striker is insertable. A latch plate is pivotally connected to the cover plate, which is capable of taking a latching position wherein the latch plate is engaged with the striker. A locking plate is pivotally connected to the cover plate, which is capable of taking a locking position wherein the locking plate is engaged with the latch plate to restrain the same at the latching position. A reinforcing shaft is secured to the cover plate and has an enlarged flange formed on a leading end thereof. The above-mentioned parts are so arranged that at least a part of the locking plate is placed between the cover plate and the enlarged flange when the locking plate is in the locking position.

    摘要: A motor-vehicle latch mounted on a door has a front end pivoted about an upright axis, a rear end with a rearwardly directed end face, and an inside face immediately adjacent the rear end face, the door being movable relative to a frame member having a forwardly directed front face confronting the rear end face of the door in a fully closed position of the door. A holding element fixed to the front face of the frame member has a part projecting inward past the inside face of the door in the fully closed position of the door and having a support face facing forward toward the rear end face of the door. A retaining member, for example a bolt or wedge, is fixed in the holding element and a retaining element on the rear end face of the door is engageable with the retaining member to latch the door in the fully closed position. The part of the holding element projecting inward past the inside face of the door in the fully closed position thereof is formed with a forwardly directed bump lying inward of the inside face of the door in the fully closed position so that if the door is pushed back in a collision the inner face of the door will be prevented by the bump from sliding inward over the end of the holding element.

    摘要: The aim of the invention is to be able to constantly open a locking mechanism of an electrically actuated lock of a motor vehicle with sufficiently large force, without having to provide an excessively large electric motor and/or an excessively large gearing transmission ratio for this purpose. In order to solve the problem, a lock for a motor vehicle comprises a locking mechanism (3) and an actuator device for opening the locking mechanism (3). The actuation device comprises a rotatable actuator (1) which can be rotated by a motorised drive (15), in particular by an electric drive. A rotating of the actuator (1) brings about an unlocking, i.e. an opening, of the locking mechanism (3). The locking mechanism (3) can be opened independently of the direction of rotation of the actuator (1). Opening of the locking mechanism (3) is therefore not dependent upon a defined direction of rotation. The force with which the locking mechanism (3) is opened depends on the direction of rotation of the actuator (1). Opening can therefore be achieved with different force depending on the direction of rotation. In this way, in regular operation opening is possible with a lower force compared to a case requiring a greater force for opening. In regular operation, in which a conventional force is used for opening the locking mechanism (3), opening is achieved quickly and with low expenditure of energy. However, it is still possible, if necessary, albeit with delay, to be able to open with greater force for this purpose.
