    摘要: In an apparatus for measuring a specific absorption rate (SAR) for use in a radio apparatus, a first near magnetic field of a radio wave radiated from a reference radio apparatus is measured in free space, and an SAR of the radio wave radiated from the reference radio apparatus by using a predetermined phantom according to a predetermined measurement method. A transformation factor α is calculated by dividing the measured SAR by a square value of the measured first near magnetic field, and a second near magnetic field of a radio wave radiated from a radio apparatus to be measured is measured in free space. Then an SAR of the radio wave radiated from the radio apparatus to be measured is estimated and calculated by multiplying a square value of the measured second near magnetic field by the calculated transformation factor α.

    摘要: A radio frequency (RF) multi-testing apparatus and method for rapid (e.g. production line) testing of a wireless communications device for operational adherence of the device to a pre-determined reference specification defining specific absorption rate (SAR) parameters correlated to the device and for simultaneous testing of the body loss of the device. The device is positioned within an RF shielded enclosure and operated at a test transmit power. A linear array of E-field isotropic probes (e.g. five) are positioned at a predetermined location in the container within human tissue simulation matter and measure the electric-field therein. A plurality of RF isotropic probes are spatially distributed within the container and measure the RF power received thereby, with the container providing reflective surfaces therein. Computer processing apparatus compares the electric-field measurements to the SAR reference specification and determines therefrom whether the device adheres to the specification. The computer processing apparatus also combines the RF power measurements and produces a value representing the averaged integrated body loss of the device. The determination of whether the device adheres to the SAR specification also determines a measure of the metallic system integrity of the device.

    摘要: A portable electromagnetic field exposure dosimeter includes a triaxial fite-loaded coil sensor, a group of amplifiers and bandpass filters, a data control board, and a computer. The triaxial sensor receives electromagnetic radiation along three orthogonal axes for measurement which is channelled through a group of amplifiers and then bandpass filtered into three frequency signal ranges. One frequency range corresponds to exposure at 60 Hz and two of its harmonics. The second frequency range corresponds to high frequency pulsed energy. The third frequency range reflects body motion of a tested individual. The data control board converts such filtered signals into digital code and controls the flow of the converted data to random access memory and to the computer. The computer performs a Fast Fourier Transform on the converted data from the 60 Hz frequency range and then stores or displays the analyzed data as a function of frequency and time. The computer also stores or displays the data from the other two frequency ranges.
