    摘要: An electrical receptacle includes at least one motion sensor for detecting movement of a blade of an electrical plug in the receptacle, an extraction detector operatively connected to the motion sensor for generating a signal in response to movement of the blade at a predetermined rate, a position detector operatively connected to the motion sensor for determining the position of the blade in the receptacle, a switch operatively connected to the extraction detector and the position detector for de-energizing the receptacle when the extraction detector detects extraction of the blade from the receptacle at a rate equal to or greater than the predetermined rate and wherein the extraction detector and switch are operative to de-energize the receptacle in less than six milliseconds when the extraction detector detects extraction of the blade from the receptacle at a rate equal to or greater than the predetermined rate.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a system and method for providing care to a patient, comprising a patient care device having a number of configuration databases stored in a memory in the device. Each configuration database preferably includes protocols, operating limits, rule sets and/or operating features that collectively define an operating environment, or personality, of the device. Selection of a specific configuration database preferably is based at least in part upon patient-specific information obtained from any location in a distributed hospital network. Examples of such patient-specific information include patient age or size, patient medical characteristics, a location of the patient or a location of the care device. In a preferred embodiment, programming a patient care device to deliver a drug to a patient entails activating a configuration database and scanning a machine-readable drug label identifying a particular protocol stored in the activated database. The selected protocol includes default parameters for delivering the drug, and the label optionally includes instructions for deviating from the default protocol.

    摘要: An apparatus power restart method in response to the network connection status is provided. The method uses an outlet or an Uninterruptible Power Supply (“UPS”) with multiple sockets, wherein a network port and a power reset switch are included. The outlet or UPS is powered via an external power source. A network connection is established through one or more network devices. The electric power control apparatus incorporating the claimed power restart method includes a network connection detection circuit and an electric power control circuit. By monitoring the network connection, the network devices connected to the electric power control apparatus can be restarted in sequence or simultaneously when the network connection fails. Thereby the network connection can be maintained. Additionally, the electric power control apparatus has a server module whereby the users can access the apparatus via the network connection. This allows the user to configure the apparatus.

    摘要: An outlet switch socket device includes a plug, at least one socket, at least one switch, a power converter, a communication module, a microprocessor and an infrared module. Moreover, the plug is used to receive an alternating current. Each switch is respectively coupled between each corresponding socket and the plug. The power converter is coupled to the plug and converts the alternating current into a direct current, thereby supplying the direct current to the microprocessor. Moreover, the microprocessor receives the direct current from the power converter and receives a control signal from a remote control via the communication module. Furthermore, the microprocessor is used to control those switches according to the control signal and transmits the control signal to the infrared module. The infrared module is used to output an infrared signal to control an infrared device.

    摘要: An electrically safe receptacle that in it's normal quiescent state will not have electrical current flow. Said electrically safe receptacle will be equipped with normally-open switches on one or both female conductors that are controlled by a strategically placed sensor to detect the insertion of a male plug. Detection of the male plug insertion will signal the normally open switches to close the circuit pathway and allow for the flow of electrical current to the device permitting normal operation. Insertion of a foreign conductive device such as a hair pin, knife blade, or metallic tool in one or both female conductors will fail to activate the sensor and thereby reduce or eliminate the possibility of accidental electrocution by preventing the flow of electrical current.
