    摘要: A flow divider includes a spool for distributing fluid from a supply flow path to priority and surplus flow paths. First and second surplus restrictions vary flow rate in accordance with the movement of the spool and restrict the flow rate to the surplus flow path respectively from first and second supply passages. The second surplus restriction is formed to restrict the flow rate in at least two steps. The spool includes a cross-sectional area changing portion located at a position corresponding to the second surplus restriction. Therefore, the circuit structure is prevented from becoming complicated and the fluid force acting as a spool urging force is suppressed.

    摘要: An automatic water supply shutoff valve for use with a fire protection piping system has a body defining a cavity communicating among a supply inlet connected to a water supply, an ancillary outlet connected to ancillary piping, and a fire protection outlet connected to fire protection piping; and a piston within the cavity defining a piston passageway. The piston moves between a first position connecting the supply inlet and ancillary outlet and a second position connecting the supply inlet and fire protection outlet. The piston moves in response to biasing forces acting against the piston, including a first biasing force from the supply inlet, a second biasing force from the fire protection outlet, and a third biasing force. The first biasing force, urging the piston toward its second or fire protection position, is opposed by a combination of the second and third biasing forces, together urging the piston toward its first or ancillary position. The piston has an inlet communicating between the supply inlet and piston passageway, and a plurality of radial piston outlets, which, in first position, communicate between the piston passageway and ancillary outlet, and which, in second position, communicate between the piston passageway and fire protection outlet.

    摘要: An automatic valve is disclosed for controlling the direction of fluid flow. The valve is particularly suited for use with automatic pool cleaning systems to alternately direct fluid flow to the filtration system of an automatic pool cleaner. The valve includes a primary conduit and a branch segment to define an alternate path for fluid flow. A reciprocating piston is mounted within the branch segment. Indexing is provided by a first cammed surface, formed at one end of the piston which includes a plurality of slots. The slots are selectively engaged with a stop pin. The condition of the valve is determined by the length of the particular slot engaged with the stop pin. A spring is provided for biasing the piston out of engagement with the stop pin when the fluid flow is interrupted. In one embodiment of the subject valve, the volume and pressure of the fluid flow are automatically controlled.

    摘要: The invention relates to a progressive distributor for lubricants, comprising at least two distributor sections each including a double piston guided in a cylinder chamber for reciprocating therein between two end positions, a supply passage, and a number of passages interconnecting adjacent cylinder chambers as well as the first cylinder chamber and the last cylinder chamber in a common plane and leading to discharge outlets, the two end sections of each cylinder chamber acting alternately as a pressure chamber for pressurizing the respective piston and as a metering chamber for metering the lubricant. In known progressive distributors having cylinder chambers disposed in a common plane, the presence of entrapped air particularly in the long passages interconnecting the first and last cylinder chambers frequently prevents the lubricant from being properly discharged. In accordance with the invention this disadvantage is eliminated by the provision that of said number of passages at least the ones interconnecting the first cylinder chamber and the last cylinder chamber in the common plane is formed over part of its length by two juxtaposed branch passages provided with closure elements therein arranged to close in opposite directions of flow, the closure elements being disposed closely adjacent to or in the metering chamber formed by the respective end section of the cylinder chamber.

    摘要: A system for distributing a piped fluid uses a plurality of valves arranged along a fluid conduit. The valves are successively opened for a selected period of time by a plug element inserted in the conduit and carried by the fluid. The plug element engages the valves and opens each valve in response to fluid pressure. In a preferred embodiment, the plug element upon completion of a circuit through the conduit automatically reverses the direction of fluid flow. There is also disclosed a sprinkler head for use in connection with the distribution system.
