摘要： A door latching or locking mechanism or module for a self-cleaning oven includes latching linkage of the door latch module that enables use of lighter duty, less expensive motor. The mechanical advantage and vector optimization of the latching linkage avoids stalling especially from a locked position. The latching mechanism includes a plurality of switches having a corresponding plurality of terminals. The terminals are grouped or ganged to allow connection with a single connector interface. The switches are selectively actuable/de-actuable by a cam and cam plate that utilizes linear motion translated from rotational motion of a driven (motor) to selectively actuate and/or de-actuate the switches.

摘要： A dogging device for securing a panic exit and actuation device in an unlatched condition. The dogging device uses a U-shaped spring clip to secure a base plate, a dogging adapter and a dogging hook together. The base plate, dogging adapter and dogging hook are rotated about a common axis by an operator, which can either be a hex shaft or a cylinder adapter operated by a keyed lock, from a disengaged position to an engaged position where the dogging hook engages a control rod of the exit device thereby holding, or dogging, the exit device in an unlatched condition. An over center spring is used to bias the dogging hook into either the engaged or the disengaged position.

摘要： A sliding side door of a van type automotive vehicle has a door latch mounted in the back end of the sliding door. The door latch includes a pivoted operating lever that is rotated to unlatch the door. The operating lever is connected to a pivoted transfer lever by a vertical rod. The transfer lever in turn is connected to a long horizontal rod that is pulled forward by an outside handle near the front of the sliding door to rotate the operating lever and unlatch the door. The pivoted operating lever is also engaged by a pivoted release lever that is connected to another long horizontal rod that is pulled forward by an inside door handle that is also near the front of the sliding door to rotate the operating lever and unlatch the door. The door latch is equipped with a block out mechanism that prevents rotation of the pivoted operating lever when the vehicle decelerates rapidly.

摘要： The present invention provides a sealed level latch for securing a door panel of a cabinet or the like in a closed position relative to the frame. The sealed lever latch is installed within an aperture formed in the door, and releasably retains the door against the frame when the door and the frame are latched together. The sealed lever latch includes a housing for mounting in the door, a handle assembly which is pivotally attached to the housing, and rotatable between an opened and closed position, and a fastening means. The fastening means retains the door, when the door is closed against the frame, by engaging the frame as the handle assembly is rotated to the closed position. The housing, handle assembly and fastening means form a integral solid structure for preventing the passage of matter through the latch itself. The sealed lever latch further includes a biasing means which is adapted to retain the handle assembly in the closed position, and urge the handle assembly from the closed position to the opened position upon disengagement. A trigger means is also included for latching the handle assembly in the closed position, and unlatching the handle assembly from the closed position for movement to the opened position. The trigger means which is integrally disposed within the central vicinity of the handle assembly provides increased mechanical advantage during the closing thereof.

The mechanism has the advantage of being readily releasable from the inside yet capable of being sealed against unauthorized use.

摘要： A tool-operated latch has a body which is mountable on the back side of a door panel adjacent an elongate opening and a hole formed through the door panel. An elongate latch lever is pivotally carried by the body and is movable between a latched position wherein the latch lever is nested with respect to the elongate door opening, and an unlatched position wherein the latch lever is extended with respect to the elongate door opening. A tool-operable actuator is journaled by the door panel hole and by the latch body, and is movable by a specially configured tool between locked and unlocked positions. A pawl is pivotally carried by the body for movement between a retaining position wherein it engages the latch lever to releasably retain the latch lever in its nested, latched position, and a releasing position wherein the pawl releases the latch lever thereby permitting the latch lever to be moved to its unlatched, extended position. The tool-operable actuator provides a cam member which cooperates with the pawl to effect movement of the pawl from its retaining position to its releasing position as the actuator is moved from its locked position to its unlocked position.

摘要： A cabinet lock has a one-piece housing with spaced front and back walls interconnected by an end wall and by a pair of spaced side walls. The housing has a first set of aligned holes formed through the front and back walls, and a second set of aligned holes formed through the side walls. A lock actuator mechanism is journaled by the first set of holes and includes an actuator movable between locked and unlocked positions. A rotary latch bolt mechanism is journaled by the second set of holes and includes a latch bolt movable between latched and unlatched positions. The lock actuator mechanism includes a first spring which biases an actuator toward its locked position. The latch bolt mechanism includes a second spring which biases the latch bolt toward its unlatched position. The lock actuator mechanism includes a cam with is interengageable with the latch bolt to retain the latch bolt in its latched position until the lock actuator is moved to its unlocked position. A feature of the cabinet lock is its highly versatile housing which may be used with a wide variety of lock actuator and latch bolt mechanisms to provide a series of heavy duty cabinet locks suitable for many different applications.
