    摘要: An articulated milling arm for a milling instrument, which includes a milling arm support movably attached to a frame to allow vertical displacement of the milling arm support; a first vertical axle, rotatably connecting the first milling arm support to a middle portion of the milling arm to allow swiveling of the middle portion of the milling arm horizontally about a vertical axis of the first vertical axle, the first vertical axle being provided with a braking surface; a second vertical axle, rotatably connecting the middle portion of the milling arm to a milling unit support to allow swiveling of the milling unit support horizontally about a vertical axis of the second vertical axle, the second vertical axle also being provided with a braking surface. The milling arm is provided with a movable braking plate, on the middle portion of the milling arm, which movably contacts the braking surface of the first vertical axle and the breaking surface of the second vertical axle. The invention further provides that the common braking plate is pressurized pneumatically or hydraulically via a diaphragm which presses against the braking surfaces of the two vertical axles in order to fix the articulated milling arm horizontally.

    摘要: A divided milling cutter comprises a first cutter half and a second cutter half which are adjustable in relation to each other with respect to their mutual distance and are both connected to a first, common, hydraulic sleeve which has an internal, annular pressure chamber and is threadable on to and securable to a cutter spindle or the like. To make possible a continous or step-less variation of the distance between the cutter halves in a simple way even when they are mounted on the cutter spindle said second cutter half is fastened to a second sleeve which is in threaded engagement with a third, threaded sleeve having a substantially annular flange which abuts an end of, or shoulder on, the first sleeve. In working position the sleeves and the cutter halves are retained on the cutter spindle by pressurizing the hydraulic sleeve for pressing the inner wall of its pressure chamber against the cutter spindle and the outer wall of said chamber against said second sleeve and the inner circumference of said cutter halves.

    摘要: Improvements in divided milling cutters comprise a first cutter half (2) and a second cutter half (6) which are adjustable in relation to each other with respect to their mutual distance and are both connected to a common sleeve (1) threadable on to and securable to a cutter spindle or the like which is preferably threaded, at least in part. To make possible a continuous or step-less variation of the distance between the cutting edge holders in a simple way even when the apparatus is mounted on the cutter spindle said second cutter half (6) is fastened to an outer sleeve (8) which is in threaded engagement with an externally threaded intermediate sleeve (13) having a substantially annular flange (14) which abuts an end or shoulder on the common sleeve. In working position all sleeves (1, 13, 8) are retained on the cutter spindle by means of a nut which is threaded on to the cutter spindle and presses against one end of the outer sleeve, possible under the intermediary of an intermediate pressure ring (19), or by hydraulic locking means.
