摘要: A continuous annealing furnace for a strip which is provided with a first treating furnace of horizontal type including at least a heating zone and a soaking zone, and a second treating furnace of vertical type disposed adjacent to the first treating furnace. The first treating furnace further includes a floating type transporting means which is composed of plural stages of floating type supporting devices for supporting the strip to be treated on them in a floating state, and a plurality of direction changing devices for transporting the strip from an upper stage towards a lower stage of the supporting devices, and the second treating furnace includes a plurality of rolls for transporting the material in a zigzag manner on vertically arranged multi-row passage. In this continuous annealing furnace, the strip is applied with an annealing treatment by being sequentially passed within the first and subsequent second treating furnaces, with the tension on the strip being controlled independently in each treating furnace by a plurality of bridle roll devices which are arranged at an inlet side of the first treating furnace, at an outlet side of the second treating furnace and a connecting portion between the first and the second treating furnaces.

摘要: During the process in which a metal strip is moved in a floating condition, the metal strip is first heated, and thereafter cooled and annealed. In heating the metal strip, the metal strip is heated so that a central portion widthwise thereof is increased in temperature more than that of both edges widthwise thereof. The metal strip is heated in a manner as described whereby a great thermal stress is not introduced in the metal strip and consequently, there is less possibility to produce wrinkles in the metal strip.

摘要: A furnace for continuously heat treating metallic strip comprises a substantially flat horizontal entry floatation table having a trailing portion which inclines downwardly towards the base of a floatation trough. The trough extends along substantially the full length of the heating zone furnace. An exit table includes a leading portion which inclines upwardly from the base of the trough to a generally horizontal flat floatation surface. Entry and exit seals are positioned above the entry and exit tables respectively.

摘要: A furnace for heating one or more bodies in which heated gas is introduced into the furnace chamber through one or more injectors and are conveyed to the bodies in a manner involving appreciable resistance to gas flow. In a preferred arrangement a continuous metal strip is conveyed through the furnace on a gaseous support cushion, the gas being introduced into the furnace under pressure through injectors which communicate with the lower portion of the furnace. The injectors generate a substantial recirculation of gas within the furnace.

摘要: An apparatus for continuously treating metal strip of aluminum, an aluminum alloy, a nonferrous metal, or a nonferrous-metal alloy, has at least one heat-treatment device through which the metal strip passes in a strip-travel plane in a travel direction without contact from an upstream inlet end to a downstream outlet end and having a heating zone at the upstream end and a cooling zone formed by a row extending in the direction of at least two cooling subzones. A strip-centering device between the cooling subzones adjusts a position of the metal strip in the strip-travel plane and transverse thereto.

摘要: A method is described for batchwise heat treatment of goods to be annealed which are heated in a heating chamber after scavenging air with a scavenging gas under protective gas to a predetermined treatment temperature, with the protective gas being conveyed through the heating chamber depending on the occurrence of impurities in different quantities. In order to enable the economic use of protective gas, it is proposed that the protective gas which is withdrawn from the heating chamber after the main occurrence of impurities and which is loaded with a residual quantity of impurities is conveyed, optionally after intermediate storage, into the heating chamber during the main occurrence of impurities of a subsequent batch before non-loaded protective gas is introduced into the heating chamber.

摘要: A device for heat treating metallic webs in-line, in particular for operation with a low-density protective gas, comprises stabilising nozzle systems which stabilise the course of the web and effect heat transfer, primarily by forced convection, in the heating portion and at least in the first portion of cooling. The web is guided in a non-contact process in the treatment portion localized by rollers. The course of the web exhibits a concave curvature (as viewed from above), at least in a partial area in the treatment portion. The area of said concave curvature can be in a fluid which is different from the fluid with which the web is blown in the heating portion and at least in the first portion of the cooling area.
