An interconnector for rolling balls in a ball screw or a linear guide way is composed of a spacer, a direction guiding member with two wings, and to linking chains. The adjacent rolling balls are isolated by the spacer so as to prevent mutual collision. The two adjacent spacers are connected with two elastically meandering linking chains able to be configurated in various forms so as to freely elongate and shrink. With this structure the guide way track is able to be formed into any shape which contributes to minimizing the size of apparatus and production cost, and allow the rolling ball to travel in a three dimensional course.

A plurality of pockets are formed on an inner circumferential surface of the through hole of the column. The pockets are disposed on a plurality of cross sectional planes that are perpendicular to an axial direction of the column. In each pocket, there are provided an outer race or roller rolling axially on an outer circumferential surface of the shaft member, and a supporting shaft supporting the outer race rotatably. The column is formed of a plurality of splittable members that are divided on cross sectional planes each perpendicular to the axial direction of the column and that pass through a center line of the supporting shaft. The adjacent splittable members are centered by the supporting shaft.

The apertures have a substantially rectangular cross-section, which is formed by four side faces, and are machined down. On the inside edge region of each aperture, collar-shaped projections are provided which protrude out of the side faces. The outside edge region of the aperture is plastically deformed by pressing in, so that a protruding edge is formed. By means of the collar-shaped projections and the protruding edges the roller is held in the aperture, the collar-shaped projections and the protruding edges being designed such that they do not come into contact with the support region of the roller. The friction of the roller is thereby less; the life increases.

The guide rail 3 includes a plurality of rolling element rolling grooves 5. The slider 4 includes a plurality of load rolling element rolling grooves 8 and a plurality of curved passages 15. The rolling grooves 5 and 8 cooperate together in forming their associated load rolling passages 11 respectively. In an area ranging over each set of the rolling element rolling passage 11 and curved passage 15, there is formed a crowning 20 in a direction where the rolling groove 8 moves away from its associated rolling groove 5. In the end portion of each curved passage 15 on the rolling groove 5 side, there is formed a tongue portion 17. The crowning 20 is structured such that, between the load rolling element 10a that belongs to the rolling elements 10 respectively rolling with a load within their associated rolling element rolling passage 11 and is situated in the end portion of the present rolling element rolling passage 11 and the tongue portion 17 of the curved passage 15, there can be present only one no-load rolling element 10b which rolls with no load.

A linear motion guide unit in which rolling applicators transfer lubricant from a lubricant-containing member to raceway grooves on a track rail to make less sliding-friction resistance to a sliding element. The guide unit has a case accommodating therein the lubricant-containing member, and rolling applicators supported for rotation by a bearing member in the case. The lubricant held in the lubricant-containing member is applied onto the raceway grooves on the track rail through the rolling applicators, the peripheries of which are kept on sliding contact with the lubricant-containing member, thereby lubricating the confronting raceway grooves of the track rail and the sliding element, along which rolling elements run through in the sliding element. The frictional resistance that is encountered when the rolling element run through the track rail is the frictional resistance to rolling motion, which makes less the sliding resistance to the sliding element.
