    摘要： A safety-type cigarette lighter characterized by a selfcontained removable tank unit and a protective jacket or casing for said unit. The casing, which is of a well known type, embodies a cup-type receiver whose upper open end is normally closed by a hinged cap-type cover retained by resilient latch means when in its closing position. The hollow tank of the tank unit is equipped with the usual flint, finger-turned sparking wheel and wick-equipped neck, and is wholly filled with a wad of absorbent fluid storing material. This unit does not have to be fully withdrawn to charge with lighter fluid. The upper halfportion is withdrawn just enough to uncover and expose a filler hole. Therefore, the lighter does not have to be turned upside down for filling with lighter fluid. Then, too, the disclosed lighter features a novelly arranged wick which has a coil aligned with and exposed for quick saturation during the fuel filling step.

    摘要： A lighter having a main fuel containment housing body and a forward hinged lid with a closed position and an open position, the open position providing access to the flame generator assembly. The flame generator assembly providing a wind shield with a flame outlet that, when the lighter is in an operation orientation, is directed upwardly and in a direction generally perpendicular to the major dimension of the lighter in the closed position. The windshield having dimples with apertures extending outwardly for reducing wind while providing oxygen. The lighter may have a forward sleeve with a closeable lid, the sleeve extending around the four sides of the housing and slidable on the fuel containment housing. An actuation portion effects a transition from the closed position to an operational position, opening the lid and sliding the sleeve downwardly exposing the flame generation system out of an opening in the sleeve.

    摘要： A scented lighter cover includes an elongated, hollow main body having a capped bottom end, a middle portion, a hollow interior space and a top opening that are shaped to cover various commercially available lighters. The cover also includes a generally hollow cap member having a shape and size that is suitable for covering the flame producing portion of the lighter that is positioned within the main body. Each of the main body and the cap are constructed from fire resistant rubber, and are scented. A flame resistant metallic layer can be disposed along the entirety of the inside portion of one or both of the cap and the main body members.
