摘要： A cartridge with a steel component bullet has desirable penetration capabilities and controlled separation of components upon terminal impact. In embodiments of the invention, the cartridge comprises a steel component, a lead core, and a copper jacket. The lead jacket having a leading edge portion that extends to the cylindrical mid portion. The steel component bullet may have a forward pointed ogive portion, a cylindrical mid portion, and a tapered rearward portion. The rearwardly facing surface may be concave. The leading edge portion may have a taper oriented in a direction opposite the taper of the ogive portion of the steel component. Structure to inhibit spin is positioned on a rearward face of the steel component. The bullet having a concave rear face.

摘要： A wall breaching explosive fragmentation ammunition having a tungsten alloy nose cap with ceramic cone nose which make possible penetration into a hardened target with survivability of the warhead. The ammunition employs a unitary construction with fuze completely within the projectile's shell case. The ammunition has an external plastic rotating band which also encloses an induction antenna. The antenna may signal the fuze on a wire, through a hole in the shell case. The fuze signals may be fed through a gun barrel, then picked up on the antenna. The ammunition also employs a controlled pattern fragmentation mechanism incorporating a patterned plastic liner.

摘要： A projectile designed to penetrate a liquid filled vessel and react with the liquid contained within the vessel. The projectile is formed of a narrow tapered nose portion with a thin liquid soluble casing which contains a reactive material. The nose portion is formed of spent radioactive material and is connected to an axially extending centrally positioned rod having a pressure plate on its distal end. The projectile casing contains potassium or other material which reacts with water or other liquid to create an explosion once the casing has dissolved within the vessel.

摘要： An arrow-type sub-caliber projectile has a piercing bar which is cylindrical about a longitudinal axis, extended by a conical portion, and is surrounded by a sabot made of a lightweight material and allows the firing of the projectile in a weapon. This conical portion has a tip of a heating-resistant material with a maximum diameter less than half the diameter of the bar, the tip being connected to the bar by a support structure having no ballistic effects, the bar having a flat front face which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bar, the flat front face area being substantially equal to the cross-sectional area of the bar, thus with no element with ballistic effects interposed between the flat front face of the bar and the tip.

摘要： A penetrating vehicle having a rocket motor includes an elongated projectile body with a forward section for holding a payload and a rearward section for housing the rocket motor. The vehicle contains a fuse that ignites the propellent of the rocket motor during impact of the projectile body with a surface barrier. The propellent provides high thrust in a rapid burn time and thereby counteracts undesirable deceleration forces acting on the body during impact. The high thrust also promotes a maximum penetration of the projectile body within the surface barrier.

摘要： A penetration bomb has a resistant body containing an explosive composition. The body has a rear portion connected by an intermediate portion to a front portion of reduced diameter. While the rear portion has a high explosive content, typically higher than 75%, the front portion has a thick content of explosive charge, typically about 15%. The intermediate zone is approximately frustoconical for transferring kinetic energy from the rear portion to the front portion which acts as a penetrator before firing of its explosive content.
