    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein may support authentication schemes for wireless communications. A first wireless device may communicate one or more messages associated with an authentication scheme with a second wireless device. The one or more messages may indicate a capability of one or more of the devices, that the authentication scheme includes a symmetric or an asymmetric authentication scheme, or both. The first wireless device may receive a signal from the second wireless device. The signal may include a set of authentication bits. The first wireless device may determine an authenticity of the signal based on the set of authentication bits, the signal, at least one key associated with the authentication scheme, or a combination thereof. The authenticity may indicate whether the signal was sent from the second wireless device or another wireless device.

    Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the UE receives, from a network entity, a channel state information (CSI) report configuration including a set of sub-configurations. Each sub-configuration in the set of sub-configurations corresponds to a transmission setting associated with a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS). The UE further determines one or more selected CSIs corresponding to a subset of the set of sub-configurations, incorporates the one or more selected CSIs into one or more CSI reports, and transmits, to the network entity, the one or more CSI reports based on the incorporation.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first configuration of a first channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource for channel measurement with a first CSI-RS port configuration. The UE may receive a second configuration with a second CSI-RS port configuration. The UE may measure a second CSI-RS resource associated with the second configuration and the first CSI-RS resource, wherein the second CSI-RS resource is a subset of the first CSI-RS resource. The UE may compute a channel quality indicator (CQI) based at least in part on renumbering CSI-RS port numbers of the second CSI-RS resource according to the second configuration, and/or a precoding matrix that is based at least in part on the second CSI-RS port configuration.     Abstract: A base station and a user equipment (UE) may perform a dynamic waveform switching for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. The base station may send a configuration for dedicated waveform switching associated with the PUSCH transmissions, and transmit, to the UE, an indication of a first waveform for transmitting the PUSCH, the indication being independent of the bandwidth part (BWP) configuration for the PUSCH. Based on the configuration for the dedicated waveform switching associated with the PUSCH transmissions and the indication of the first waveform for the PUSCH transmission, the UE may transmit the PUSCH, at least one PUSCH repetition, and at least one retransmission of the PUSCH, and the base station may receive the PUSCH, at least one PUSCH repetition, and at least one retransmission of the PUSCH.

In a wireless communications system, a base station may support a flexible cell with a set of carriers including an anchor carrier and two or more non-anchor carriers. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may select, from among the set of carriers and based on receiving an indication of the configuration, a carrier for transmission of a request for system information associated with the flexible cell. The UE may transmit the request for system information to the base station via the selected carrier.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for implicitly indicating transmission power level for channel state information (CSI) reference signals, such as may be used for channel sounding procedures. A method includes receiving a first CSI reference resource indicating a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) transmission power level, receiving one or more CSI measurement resources during an implicit indication interval beginning with the CSI reference resource and ending with an uplink resource configured for sending a channel state metric, and determining the channel state metric based on the CSI-RS transmission power level and at least one of the one or more CSI measurement resources.
