    摘要: Generator stator bar having profile strip and process for manufacturing a generator stator bar are presented. The generator stator bar includes stator bar strands assembled together. The profile strip is placed on top side and bottom side surfaces of the stator bar strand assembly. The profile strip includes uncured strip consisting of uncured material. The profile strip includes pre-cured strip consisting of pre-cured material. The pre-cured strip includes cavities perforated through its thickness. The profile strip enables the generator stator bar to be manufactured by a single press and heat operation to achieve a rectangular geometry having round outer edges and to maintain orientations of stator bar strands parallel to the profile strip.

    摘要: A device and method to aid in lapping a spherical washer to a steam turbine component are provided. The device includes a drive head, the drive head made up of a drive cap and a hollow cylindrical portion projecting from the drive cap. The drive cap abuts a surface of the spherical washer. The cylindrical portion fits within and is concentric to an inner diameter of the spherical washer. The device also includes an expanding gasket including an outer diameter having a contour configured to fit a contour of an inner diameter of the spherical washer and an inner diameter slides onto the cylindrical portion such that the gasket and cylindrical portion are concentric. The drive head attaches to a drive unit which imparts a torque to lap the spherical washer with respect to a steam turbine component. The expanding gasket expands and holds the spherical washer during the lapping.

    摘要: A method for scanning a weld buildup formed on a circumferential portion of a disc for a steam turbine. The method includes providing an ultrasound probe for generating at least one ultrasound beam sweep. The circumferential portion is scanned with a first beam sweep oriented in a first beam orientation to detect a first flaw type in the weld buildup. The circumferential portion is also scanned with a second beam sweep oriented in a second beam orientation to detect a second flaw type in the weld buildup. Further, the circumferential portion is scanned with a third beam sweep oriented in a third beam orientation to detect a third flaw type in the weld buildup. The method also includes rotating the disc about a disc axis during scanning of the circumferential portion and moving the first, second and third beam sweeps in a direction parallel to the disc axis during scanning.

The CCPP may include at least a gas turbine, a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) located downstream of the gas turbine, a main steam turbine, and a supercritical steam turbine. The HRSG may include a low pressure steam system, an intermediate pressure steam system, and a high pressure steam system. To improve the part load efficiency of the CCPP, a base load operation of the CCPP may be initiated with supercritical pressure, via the supercritical steam turbine, such that the efficiency impact resulting from the part load operation is reduced.

    摘要: A device for streaming magnetic flux data generated by an electrical generator for a power plant. The device includes a flux probe located on the generator to enable detection of a magnetic flux of the generator. The device also includes a computer having an interface, wherein the computer includes an analog-to-digital converter. In addition, the device includes a calibration circuit attached to the flux probe by a first cable and the interface by a second cable. The calibration circuit measures a resistance of the second cable and a voltage of the flux probe wherein ends of the second cable are shorted when measuring the cable resistance and the flux probe voltage. A gain is determined based on the cable resistance and flux probe voltage to provide a suitable input voltage at the interface to deliver the magnetic flux data to the computer.

The sealing band arrangement includes at least one first seal strip segment located within the slots, wherein the seal strip segment includes first and second ends. The sealing band arrangement also includes a tab section that extends from the first end in order to form an underlap seal with an adjacent second seal strip segment. The underlap seal enables a thickness of the first and second ends to be substantially equivalent to a thickness of the first seal strip segment in order to improve wear life of the seal strip segment. The sealing band arrangement further includes at least one wide portion formed in the first seal strip segment wherein the wide portion is wider than a remaining portion of the first seal strip segment.

    摘要: Systems and methods for resolving fault detection in a control system is provided. The system includes an I/O module operably connected to a first, second, and third microcontroller for transmitting data. The first microcontroller is in an active state, i.e., in control, while the remaining controllers are in an idle state. The system further includes an event generator for generating an event indicative of a fault occurrence, and a means for detecting a fault event. The system also includes a means for reassigning a controller, wherein upon detection of a fault event in both the first and second controllers, the means for reassigning a controller changes the state of the third controller to active, leaving the remaining controllers idle or in a shutdown state, thereby effectively assigning control from the first controller to the third controller.

    摘要: Can-annular burners for gas turbine engines with flow conditioners having locally varying, asymmetrical patterns of circumferential perforations, to promote uniform fuel-air mixture among all premixers in the burner basket. Any one or more of the perforation pattern, pattern density, perforation profiles and perforation cross sectional area is locally varied to alter circumferential airflow into the burner basket, which in turn mitigates non-uniform thru-flow variations across the burner's air inlet plane. In some embodiments, the flow conditioner asymmetric perforation patterns are tailored for individual burner locations within the engine's combustor section annular ring, which mitigates non-uniform thru-flow variation among different respective burners in the combustor section annular ring. Thru-flow uniformity within each burner and among all the combustor section burners promotes uniform engine combustion.
