    Abstract: A cranking mechanism preferably includes a planetary gear set, a drive shaft, a one way bearing, a clutch assembly, and at least one drive unit. The clutch preferably includes a clutch pressure plate, a flywheel, friction surfaces and at least one friction plate. Each drive unit includes a carrier, a spool and a flywheel. The one way bearing and the clutch assembly are axial on the drive shaft. A pressure locking nut is threaded on to a threaded end of the crank shaft to exert pressure on the clutch assembly. The sun gear is fixed on the drive shaft. The at least one drive unit is axial with the drive shaft, and fixed with the carrier of the planetary gear set. The pressure locking nut is tightened against the clutch assembly to frictionally engage the drive shaft with the at least one drive unit.

    Abstract: A crossbow with built in electric cocking preferably includes a motor, a drive device, a pair of carriage drive shafts and a pair of string carriages. The motor preferably includes a gearbox with an output shaft. The drive device includes a support frame and a drive shaft rotatably retained in the support frame. A drive gear is retained on one end of the drive shaft. An opposing end of the drive shaft is connected the output shaft. First and second carriage drive shafts each include a threaded drive shaft and a carriage drive gear retained on one end of the threaded drive shaft. The drive gear drives the carriage drive gear. First and second string carriages each include a string catch and a threaded tap. The threaded tap is sized to threadably receive the threaded drive shaft.

    Abstract: A reverse style crossbow having four pulleys preferably includes a barrel, a riser, a first limb, a second limb, a first cam and a second cam. The riser is attached to the barrel. The first and second limbs extend from opposing ends of the riser. The first and second cams are rotatably retained on distal ends of the first and second limbs. First and second barrel pulleys are rotatably retained on opposing sides of the barrel. A first limb pulley is rotatably retained by the first limb and a second limb pulley is rotatably retained by the second limb. One end of a first cable is attached to the first cam and the other end is attached to the barrel. One end of a second cable is attached to the second cam and the other end is attached to the barrel. A single cable may also be used.

    Abstract: A vibration dampening limb bolt preferably includes a hollow bolt and a vibration-dampening member. The hollow bolt includes a countersunk head and a bore. At least a portion of the bore is threaded to form a threaded bore. It is preferably that a tool cavity in the countersunk head has a multiple tooth cavity configuration, which would be shaped to receive a TORX bit. The vibration-dampening member includes a vibration block and a threaded shaft. The threaded shaft extends outward from a bottom of the vibration block. The threaded shaft is threadably engagable with the threaded bore. The vibration dampening material is obtained from a vibration stabilizer manufacturer. A second embodiment of the vibration dampening limb bolt includes the hollow bolt with an unthreaded bore and a vibration-dampening member with a rod projection having at least one o-ring.

    Abstract: An improved crossbow lock mechanism includes the trigger housing, the seer lever, the seer lock lever, the latch, the trigger and an auto safety. The auto safety preferably includes a safety block, a safety lever arm and a safety lever arm lock. The safety lever arm lock is pivotally retained on one end of the safety lever arm with a safety arm lock pin. A finger engagement portion extends from one end of the safety lever arm lock and a stop portion extends from an opposing end thereof. A hand grip extends from the housing. The safety lever arm is pivotally retained in the hand grip with a safety lever arm pivot pin. A safety block actuator pocket is formed in a bottom of the safety block to receive the other end of the safety lever arm. A safety block spring biases the safety block away from the trigger lever.

    Abstract: An adjustable multi-level archery quiver preferably includes a quiver hood, a quiver frame, a first arrow gripper and a second arrow gripper. The quiver hood includes a plurality of broad head cavities and at least three frame mounting cavities. A centerline of the plurality of broad head cavities are aligned in a straight line. However, depths of adjacent broad head cavities are staggered from each other. An alternative embodiment of a quiver hood includes adjacent broad head cavities that are offset from each other in a Y-axis. The quiver frame includes a first hood mounting leg and a second hood mounting leg extending from one end. The first and second hood mounting legs are retained in the frame mounting openings. The first and second arrow grippers may be attached to the quiver frame to create right or left hand quivers.

    Abstract: A quiver for holding arrows is one-hand releasably attachable to an archery bow. A quiver attachment bracket having opposing grooves is mountable to the bow. The quiver has two parallel elongated struts supporting an arrowhead hood and at least one arrow shaft holder. A clamp is mounted to and between the struts having biased first and second jaws extending transversely of the quiver with each jaw having an adjacent one-hand grippable handle extending transversely of the quiver opposite of the jaws. The powerstroke is increased by inverting the limb orientation from the standard crossbow arrangement and locating string guides at least partially forward and rearward of the ends of the limbs.
