摘要： Disclosed is an image forming apparatus including a communication section connected to a data processing apparatus through a communication line to perform image formation on the basis of data transmitted from the data processing apparatus through the communication section, the apparatus including: a plurality of storage sections each of which has a different free storage capacity and a different access speed; and a control section to obtain data size information of an XPS file from the XPS file including the data size information thereof in a head of a file data, frame, the XPS file being received from the data processing apparatus through the communication section, to select a storage section to store the XPS file from the plurality of storage sections on the basis of the data size information, and to allow the selected storage section to store the XPS file.

摘要： Disclosed is an image forming apparatus which generates print data based on control data for page print inputted from an external device and which forms an image based on the print data. The image forming apparatus includes a control unit having a plurality of arithmetic processing units, and an image forming unit for forming an image based on the print data which is outputted by the control unit. The control unit generates the print data by carrying out a rasterizing process of one page in band unit constituted by a predetermined number of lines based on the control data for page print and sequentially outputs the generated print data at output timings defined in a constant output interval, wherein the rasterizing process is controlled based on whether or not generation of print data is to be completed within the output interval for all of bands in the one page.

摘要： There is described a file editing apparatus, a file editing method and a file editing program, each of which makes it possible not only for the user to edit an XPS file easily and conveniently, but also for plural users, respectively located at different sites, to issue instructions for editing the same XPS file from the different sites at a time. The apparatus includes: a receiving section to receive a print job; a parsing section to parse the print job, so as to read file editing instruction information attached to the print job; and a file editing section that decompresses an XPS file to edit the XPS file decompressed, and then, compresses the XPS file after editing, so as to create an edited XPS file. Accordingly, the apparatus also makes it possible to edit the XPS file, irrespective of the OS or the environment of the application program currently executed.

摘要： There is described an image forming apparatus, which make it possible to appropriately print each of a valid print object and an invalid print object. The apparatus includes: a printing section to conduct a printing operation based on the print data, so as to create the print product; and a control section to determine whether the digital signature is valid or invalid so as to control the printing operation, based on the determined result. When the plurality of print objects includes both a valid print object for which the digital signature is determined as valid and an invalid print object for which the digital signature is determined as invalid, the control section controls the printing operation, so as to enable the valid print object to be printed, based on the print data, while disable the invalid print object to be printed, based on the print data.
