摘要: A three-piece solid golf ball having a solid core, an intermediate layer enclosing the solid core, and a cover layer enclosing the intermediate layer and having a large number of dimples formed in its surface, characterized in that the core deforms as much as 2.6 to 3.2 mm under a load which changes from 10 kg to 130 kg, the cover layer is formed mainly from thermoplastic polyurethane such that it has a lower hardness than the intermediate layer, a surface hardness of the cover layer being 58 to 64 in terms of Shore D hardness, with the difference in hardness between the cover layer and the intermediate layer being 4 to 10 in terms of Shore D hardness, the intermediate layer and the cover layer have a total thickness of 2.2 to 3.0 mm, the cover layer has a thickness of 0.8 to 1.3 mm, and the dimples have at least four different diameters and/or depths, with the average depth being 0.125 to 0.150 mm, and amount to 250 to 390 in all. The three-piece solid golf ball exhibits adequate spin performance by iron shot and approach shot. It also exhibits good flying performance.

摘要: A three-piece solid golf ball composed of a solid core, an intermediate layer which encloses the core, and a cover layer which encloses and is softer than the intermediate layer is characterized in that the solid core undergoes a deflection of 2.8 to 3.6 mm when a load of 130 kg is applied thereto from an initial load of 10 kg and has a surface hardness and a center hardness which differ by at least 15 Shore D hardness units; the intermediate layer has a surface hardness which differs from the surface hardness of the solid core by not more than 12 Shore D hardness units; and the cover layer has a surface hardness which differs from the surface hardness of the intermediate layer by at least 7 Shore D hardness units, is made primarily of a thermoplastic polyurethane, and has a thickness in a range of 0.5 to 1.3 mm. This combination of features provides an overall outstanding golf ball endowed with excellent flight characteristics, excellent controllability and durability, and a soft feel on impact.

摘要: The stream of the gas carries a thread held in the sealed container forward into and through the tube. The pressure of the gas in the sealed container is kept high enough to maintain the mean flow rate of the gas at any given point of the tube above the travel speed of the thread. A positive longitudinal surging motion is given to the thread advancing through the tube. A frictional force between the flowing gas and the peripheral surface of the thread, a static pressure working on an area corresponding to the cross-sectional area of the thread, and a difference between the static pressures on both sides of the surging portion of the thread work together to carry the thread forward.
