    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device that displays an input video signal according to a present disclosure comprises: a first liquid crystal display panel and a second liquid crystal display panel disposed to be laminated; a first video signal generator that generates a first video signal for the first liquid crystal display panel by performing stereoscopic vision suppression processing of suppressing stereoscopic vision due to parallax on the video signal; and a second video signal generator that generates a second video signal for the second liquid crystal display panel using the first video signal, wherein when the video signal indicates a black spot, the first video signal generator performs the stereoscopic vision suppression processing with intensity different from that in a case where the video signal indicates a bright spot.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a first display panel; a first flexible substrate on which a first driver IC outputting a driving signal to the first display panel is mounted; a second flexible substrate being apart from the first flexible substrate, at least a part of the second flexible substrate overlapping the first flexible substrate; and an insulating material disposed between the first flexible substrate and the second flexible substrate. The first flexible substrate is connected to the first display panel so that the first driver IC is on a side of the second flexible substrate. The insulating material is disposed between the first driver IC and the second flexible substrate.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel includes: first laminated structures provided on a first substrate; and first spacers provided on a second substrate. A plurality of transistors are provided in each of a plurality of pixels. The respective first spacer is located between two adjacent transistors of the plurality of transistors in corresponding one of the plurality of pixels. The first laminated structure is provided opposite to the first spacer. Each of the plurality of transistors includes a gate electrode, a semiconductor layer, and a source and drain electrode. The first laminated structure includes a first film formed in a layer identical to that of the gate electrode and a second film formed in a layer identical to that of one of the semiconductor layer and the source and drain electrode.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes: first and second liquid crystal cells; first and second circuit boards connected to the first and second liquid crystal cells through first and second flexible wiring boards, respectively; a frame disposed on an opposite side to the first liquid crystal cell with respect to the second liquid crystal cell; and a holder that holds the first circuit board and the second circuit board. The first circuit board and the second circuit board are disposed on an opposite side to the second liquid crystal cell with respect to the frame. The second circuit board is located closer to the frame than the first circuit board, and the holder sandwiches the first circuit board, and stores the second circuit board between the frame and the holder.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device having a plurality of display panels disposed in a superposed manner, comprising: a first display panel that displays a first image; a second display panel disposed on a back surface side of the first display panel to display a second image; and an image processor that generates first image data for the first image and second image data for the second image based on the input image data, wherein the image processor includes: a differential filter that performs differential filter processing on a luminance signal calculated from the input image data and outputs a differential detection value; a background level detection circuit that detects a background level using the luminance signal; a gain determination circuit that determines a filter gain using the differential detection value and the background level; and a low-pass filter that performs low-pass filter processing using the filter gain.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes: first and second liquid crystal panels disposed to be overlapped with each other; a parallax reduction unit that generates the second output image signal by performing smoothing processing on a first signal based on the input image signal; a first temporal filter that generates a first response correction signal determining the first output image signal based on the second output image signal; and a corrector that generates the first output image signal based on at least the first response correction signal and a second signal based on the input image signal. The first temporal filter generates the first response correction signal of a current frame based on the second output image signal of the current frame and the first response correction signal of a previous frame.
