摘要： A base station apparatus, a mobile radio system, and a transmission power control method that can perform transmission power control having the high interference suppressing effect with a smaller processing delay are provided. The base station apparatus comprises: a measurement part for measuring SIRs of a received signal subjected to interference suppression by an interference suppressing receiving circuit in a former stage in an interference suppressing receiving part of the radio base station apparatus, and of a received signal subjected to interference suppression by an interference suppressing receiving circuit in a later stage; a calculation part for calculating a correction SIR based on the obtained SIRs, and for estimating a transmission power control SIR from a current first stage SIR and a past correction SIR; and a signal generator for generating a transmission power control signal by comparing the transmission power control SIR and a target SIR. Control of transmission power of a mobile station is performed by transmitting this transmission power control signal to the mobile station.

摘要： High resolution vertical and horizontal components of a high definition video signal are combined with a standard broadcast system video signal, such as the NTSC system, in which high frequency horizontal resolution components are sampled and used to modulate at least a first sub-carrier signal. The first sub-carrier is frequency interleaved onto the standard broadcast signal. Vertical high resolution components are time compressed and time division multiplexed onto top and bottom portions of the standard broadcast signal. The modified broadcast signal can be decoded by a standard receiver to display a standard resolution video image, while receivers designed to decode the modified signal can time division demultiplex the vertical high resolution components and demodulate the horizontal high resolution components, combine these components with the standard components, and generate a high definition video image.

摘要： An automobile headlamp system comprising a retractable headlamp which moves between its retracted position inside the body of an automobile and its protruded position. When the headlamp is in its retracted position, it is covered by a lamp over. When the cover is moved from its closed position to its open position, especially at the beginning of this movement, the rear end of the cover is shifted slightly forwards. Therefore, the lamp cover can be opened without interfering with the body of the automobile if the rear end portion of the cover is not straight but curved to a great extent.

摘要： An up-link power from an earth station in a satellite communication system is controlled to compensate rain attenuation caused in an up-link so that the transmission power of the earth station is adjusted according to the difference between the level of a received reference signal, which is sent from a reference earth station to the satellite, and the level of its own received signal which is transmitted to the satellite from itself and is received at its own station after being relayed by the satellite. A transmission power of the reference earth station is adjusted so that the level of the received reference signal at the satellite is constant.
