    摘要: A toner capable of ensuring cleanness and the amount of specific charge for extended periods of time and having excellent charge stability and fixing property, a two-component developer, a developing device and an image forming apparatus are provided. A toner includes toner particles containing at least a binding resin and a coloring agent, and fine silicon-containing oxide particles having an average primary particle size of not smaller than 70 nm but not larger than 150 nm and containing water in an amount of not larger than 2.0% by weight, the fine silicon-containing oxide particles being externally added to the toner particles.

    摘要: A toner which takes into account preservation of the global environment and which is excellent in fixability and storage stability and moreover, good in light transmittance and a method for manufacturing the toner, a two-compartment developer, a developing device and an image forming apparatus are provided. In toner including at least a binder resin and a colorant, the binder resin includes a resin which is a major component and a biomass-containing crystalline resin; and the crystalline resin is contained in an amount of 1 part by weight or more and 50 parts by weight or less based on 100 parts by weight of the binder resin, and a melting point of the crystalline resin is higher by a temperature of from 5° C. to 10° C. than a temperature at which a loss modulus G″ of the toner at a frequency of 1 Hz is 103 Pa.

    摘要: A kneaded material obtained by heating and melt-kneading a toner composition and a water-based medium containing water are put into a container of a granulating apparatus, and heated by a heater while agitating, to disperse the kneaded material into the water-based medium in its softened state. A temperature at which a loss tangent value of the kneaded material reaches a predetermined loss tangent value A, specifically, 0.5 or more and less than 5.0, is inputted to a granulating temperature input section as a setting granulating temperature T1. The heater is then controlled by a control section so that a granulating temperature as a temperature of the water-based medium measured by a thermometer reaches the setting granulating temperature T1 inputted to the input section. Accordingly, the granulating temperature as a temperature of the water-based medium, and thus a temperature of the kneaded material in the water-based medium is adjusted to T1.
