    Abstract: A display device and a display method using the same are disclosed. The display device includes: a display panel including a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal prism arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a backlight source configured to emit a light which is incident onto the second substrate at an oblique angle; wherein the liquid crystal prism is configured to adjust a deflection angle of the light emitted from the backlight source traveling between the first substrate and the second substrate such that the light emitted from the backlight source is totally-reflected at a light exit face of the display device or exits from the light exit face of the display device.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel, a liquid crystal display device and a method of controlling a gray scale of a liquid crystal display device are provided. The display panel includes first and second substrates, and a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates, wherein the second substrate is at a light-emitting side of the liquid crystal layer. The display panel further includes a first transparent electrode and a second transparent electrode, which are between the first and second substrates and arranged at two sides of the liquid crystal layer respectively, wherein at least one of the transparent electrodes includes a plurality of sub-electrodes parallel to each other and each extending in a straight line. The display panel also includes a refraction layer between the crystal layer and the second substrate, the refraction layer having a refractive index less than a refractive index of the liquid crystal layer.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides a display panel, including a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer between them, a first black matrix layer at a side of the first substrate facing the second substrate, a second black matrix layer at a side of the second substrate facing the first substrate, and an electrode layer at a side of at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate facing the liquid crystal layer. Each pixel unit includes at least one pixel portion. A region of the first black matrix layer corresponding to the pixel portion includes a light shielding portion and a light transmission portion, a region of the second black matrix layer corresponding to the light shielding portion is provided with a light through hole, an orthogonal projection of the light shielding portion on the second black matrix layer covers the light through hole.

    Abstract: Embodiment of the disclosure provide a display panel, a display device and a control method thereof, which belong to the field of display technology. The display panel comprises: a first base substrate and a second base substrate that are provided opposite to each other; and a plurality of pixel units formed between the first base substrate and the second base substrate. The pixel unit of the plurality of pixel units comprises: a liquid crystal adjustment unit; and a first light-shielding region and a first light-transmitting region at the first side of the liquid crystal adjustment unit. The liquid crystal adjustment unit comprises an adjustment electrode and a liquid crystal layer. The adjustment electrode is configured to control the deflection of the liquid crystals in the liquid crystal layer such that the light from the second side of the liquid crystal adjustment unit is transmitted to at least one of the first light-shielding region and the first light-transmitting region.

    Abstract: A display panel, a method for adjusting a grayscale of the display panel, and a display device are disclosed. The display panel includes: a first substrate and a second substrate opposite thereto, and a liquid crystal layer therebetween. At least a first electrode assembly is provided on a surface of the first substrate facing towards the liquid crystal layer, and is configured to drive liquid crystal molecules in a first region of the liquid crystal layer abutting against the first electrode assembly to deflect to form a first lens having a first refractive-index distribution, and at least a second electrode assembly is provided on a surface of the second substrate facing towards the liquid crystal layer, and configured to drive liquid crystal molecules in a second region of the liquid crystal layer abutting against the second electrode assembly to deflect to form a second lens having a second refractive-index distribution.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal lens, a display device and a driving method of the display device are disclosed. The liquid crystal lens includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a driving electrode layer and blue phase liquid crystals disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; the driving electrode layer includes driving electrodes, each driving electrode includes at least two electrode pairs, the electrode pair includes two sub-electrodes which are disposed opposite to each other and can be applied with a voltage separately, and all the sub-electrodes in the same driving electrode are insulated from each other; the sub-electrodes of different electrode pairs in the same driving electrode are unparallel to each other; and the blue phase liquid crystals at different positions have deformations of different degrees in electrical fields with different intensities generated by the different sub-electrodes.
