A method for processing Ethernet ring messages and a corresponding Ethernet ring protection system are provided. The method comprises distinguishing a message to be processed by processors of transit nodes from that not to be processed by the processors of the transit nodes, and setting a distinguishing identifier when constituting a message; after receiving the message, the transit node forwarding the message not to be processed by the processor thereof to other nodes, or sending the message to be processed by the processor of the transit node to other nodes and meanwhile reporting the message to its processor depending on the distinguishing identifier; the system comprises a master node and transit nodes which generates messages with the distinguishing identifier and performs different process for these messages according to the distinguishing identifier.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for measuring switching time of an Ethernet ring network, which comprises the following steps: synchronizing a local time of each node in the Ethernet ring network (301); when switching occurs in the Ethernet ring network, each node recording its own start time of the switching and end time of the switching (302); comparing all the time of the switching to obtain a maximum end time of the switching and a minimum start time of the switching among all the nodes, and calculating a difference between the maximum end time of the switching and the minimum start time of the switching (303) to serve as the switching time of the Ethernet ring network. The present invention also provides an apparatus for measuring switching time of the Ethernet ring network. By applying the method and apparatus, the switching time of the Ethernet ring network can be measured precisely, which facilitates the maintenance, fault location and service influence estimation etc. of the Ethernet ring network.

The invention discloses a method and a device for protecting a multi-ring Ethernet, wherein the method comprises: the multi-ring Ethernet is divided into multiple subsets without public links thereamong; each subset controls its own protection switch; when a public link in the multi-ring Ethernet is failed, only the subset to which the public link belongs executes the protection switch and other subsets do not execute the protection switch. Therefore, during the protection switch, a new ring which causes a network storm is not generated. The advantages of the invention comprises: realizing the protection of the multi-ring Ethernet, the protection of the multi-ring Ethernet is simple to operate, and the efficiency of the protection switch of the multi-ring Ethernet is high.

The present invention provides an Ethernet ring system and the master node and the initialization method thereof, comprising the following steps: Step 1, a master node of an Ethernet ring protection domain is generated from nodes on a ring; Step 2, the master node detects the link state of a primary port and a secondary port wherein if the master node detects that no fault occurs in the link of the primary port and the secondary port, it records the state of the ring network as the initializing state and blocks the secondary port; Step 3, the master node sends a link health check message to the ring network periodically; Step 4, it is judged whether the master node receives the link health check message in a prescribed time period wherein if receiving the message, it records the state of the ring network as intact, continues blocking the secondary port and sends a ring network restoration notification message to the ring network, informing other nodes that the state of the ring network is intact, so as to realize the initialization of the master node.
Abstract:
A method and a device for preventing repeated refreshing of an address table of an Ethernet ring network node are provided. After a state of a port of the Ethernet ring network node is changed to a blocked state, it is determined that whether the Ethernet ring network node is an RPL neighbor node and whether the blockage is triggered by an RPL Blocked protocol frame. If so, the Ethernet ring network node stores refreshed record information corresponding to its two ports on the ring. The problem that an RPL neighbor node refreshes an address table repeatedly in the scenario of switchback of an Ethernet ring network can be effectively solved via the aforementioned method and device, thereby reducing flow broadcast during protection switching of the Ethernet ring network and improving the switching efficiency.

Disclosed in the present invention is a method for updating blocked port information. The method includes: when a node to which a ring protection link belongs in an Ethernet ring network is in a pending state and after a wait to restore timer expires, updating by the node to which the ring protection link belongs in the Ethernet ring network refreshing record information of an adjacent port of the ring protection link as: information identifying a blocked port of the node to which the ring protection link belongs in the Ethernet ring network. Also disclosed in the present invention is a system for updating blocked port information.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for updating an address table in an Ethernet ring network node and an Ethernet ring network node. When the Ethernet ring network node implements a port state switching operation and a port on the ring is switched from an unblocked state to a blocked state, the Ethernet ring network node updates its forwarding database. The method and the Ethernet ring network node of the present invention can accelerate update of the FDB in the node when a link fails or is recovered, thereby improving the convergence speed for the switching when the ring network fails.

A method and a system for preventing a network storm from presenting in a multi-ring Ethernet, the method comprises: when a link in the multi-ring Ethernet is failed, at most one ring protecting link is unblocked, the ring protecting link and the failed link being in a same logic area. Wherein each link in the multi-ring Ethernet belongs uniquely to one logic area, when a link in the multi-ring Ethernet is failed, a master node of a logic area to which the failed link belongs unblocks a ring protecting link; or each link in the multi-ring Ethernet respectively belongs to one or more logic areas, each logic area is set with a priority, when a link in the multi-ring Ethernet is failed, the ring protecting link of one logic area which contains the failed link and has a highest priority is unblocked by the master node of the logic area.
