Abstract: An apparatus is configured to be employed within a base station. The apparatus comprises baseband circuitry and/or application circuitry which includes a radio frequency (RF) interface and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to generate a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration for a user equipment (UE) device, where the BWP configuration includes an initial BWP for the UE device; and provide the BWP configuration to the UE device using the RF interface.
