Abstract: A display panel is disclosed, which comprises: a first substrate with plural sub-pixel units disposed thereon; a first photo-alignment layer disposed on the first substrate and having at least two different alignment directions corresponding to one sub-pixel unit; and plural metal pads respectively corresponding to the sub-pixel units. When light passes through each sub-pixel, a dark line pattern is exhibited, comprising: a first main dark line disposed at an interface between two different alignment directions of the first photo-alignment layer; and a metal pad pattern corresponding to the metal pad and the first main dark line. Herein, a distance difference between an edge of the first dark line and an edge of the metal pad pattern at the same side is not identical to that between another edge of the first dark line and another edge of the metal pad pattern at another same side.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel includes a plurality of pixel units, a first alignment layer and a second alignment layer. The pixel units are configured in a matrix formed by columns and rows, and each pixel unit is divided into a plurality of domains. The alignment direction of the first alignment layer is parallel to the column direction, while the alignment direction of the second alignment layer is parallel to the row direction. The domains of the pixel units have different tilt directions for liquid crystal molecules defined by the first and second alignment layers. In two adjacent pixel units arranged in the row direction, the domains adjacent to a boundary between the two adjacent pixel units have the same tilt direction for liquid crystal molecules defined by the first and second alignment layers.

Abstract: The invention provides a liquid crystal display panel with a multi-domain pixel layout, including: a plurality of pixel units arranged in a matrix formed by columns and rows, wherein each pixel unit is divided into a plurality of domains; a first alignment layer aligned to directions along the columns; and a second alignment layer aligned to directions along the rows. For two adjacent pixel units arranged in the column direction, the domains adjacent to a boundary between the two adjacent pixel units are defined with the same directions which liquid crystal molecules tilt toward by the first and second alignment layers.
