摘要： A hybrid visor for use in a vehicle is disclosed. The visor includes an expanded polypropylene body and a partial clamshell engaging the body along a single longitudinal length of the body and along a single transverse length of the body. The visor also comprises a pivot rod arranged within the clamshell and a cover material arranged over the body and the clamshell. The hybrid visor provides a light weight, low cost recyclable visor that is capable of being designed into any number of configurations all while providing the same robustness and stiffness of heavier and more costly visors.

摘要： A breakaway visor for use in a vehicle includes a visor body and a molded tubular member having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is rotatably supported with respect to the roof of a vehicle via a visor mounting bracket. The visor arm also includes an elbow portion arranged a predetermined distance from the first end of the molded tubular member. The visor arm also includes a metal tubular insert member arranged within the molded tubular member. The metal tubular insert member will have a first end within the molded tubular member and arranged a predetermined distance from the first end of the molded tubular member. This first end of the metal tubular insert member will define the break point for the breakaway visor.

摘要： A seam for use in a vehicle armrest or other interior component. The seam includes a first material and a second material joined to the first material. The seam also includes a T-member connected to the first material and the second material to form a French seam appearance on the outer surface of the material. The T-member is then used to align with a groove in a foam of an armrest or other interior component to create an exterior seam on an armrest or interior component of a vehicle. The seam is created using a guide member attached to a sewing machine that will allow for sewing of the first material and second material to the T-member in a simultaneous process at a predetermined speed thus increasing efficiency of manufacturing the upholstery panel and reducing costs to the manufacturer.

摘要： A security shade for a rear cargo area of a motor vehicle. The security shade comprises a roller tube onto which a flexible shade panel is wound. A cover covers the shade panel and includes portions defining a slot through which the shade panel is extendable and retractable. A storage compartment is adjacent to and integral with the cover. The storage compartment includes an internal chamber that is defined by side walls, end walls, a bottom wall and a top which is moveable between a closed position and an open position permitting access into the chamber.

摘要： A parts transporting system including a rigid rack frame, a plurality of uprights coupled to the rigid rack frame, a plurality of shelf supports coupled to the uprights, and a plurality of shelf assemblies operably coupled to the uprights and the shelf supports. Each shelf assembly is constructed of a shelf frame and an offset pivot hinge operably coupled to the shelf frame and the shelf support, allowing the shelf frame to swing open at an angle with respect to the rigid rack frame. A lid and strut assembly is operably coupled to each of the shelf frames and includes a lid, a seal covering the entire perimeter of the lid and providing a dirt and moisture resistant seal, and a strut coupled to the lid. Each shelf frame is coupled to a sling assembly which forms compartments used to hold parts. Each shelf frame is positioned directly above each lid except the top lid. When each of the shelf assemblies is emptied, it is lifted, and this action lifts the lid below the shelf assembly, exposing the next layer of parts to be removed.

摘要： The invention relates to a motor vehicle interior compartment security shade assembly. The device of this invention enables a security shade to be deployed to various extended positions in use. This capability allows the shade to cover portions of the motor vehicle interior cargo compartment while leaving other portions uncovered to accommodate large carried items. The plural park positions for the shade also eliminate the requirement of full retraction and extension each time the shade position is changed. The various embodiments describe alternate approaches toward providing the features of the invention. Including devices incorporating laterally extending tracks having diverging sections which provide stop position for the shade and other embodiments and another embodiment including an actuated ledge mechanism for the shade pull tube.
