Abstract: A scroll compressor includes an oil circulation pipe having one end inserted through a casing to be connected to an oil storage space inside the casing and another end connected to a suction passage for supplying refrigerant from outside of the casing to a compression chamber, an oil circulation valve disposed between the both ends of the oil circulation pipe to selectively open or close the oil circulation pipe, and a controller to control an opening or closing operation of the oil circulation pipe to reduce or eliminate frictional loss due to a shortage of oil by adjusting an oil level of the oil storage space at an initial operation.

Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided capable of supplying oil stored in an oil storage chamber upward through a rotary shaft to supply the oil to a compression device and to lubricate a bearing portion. The scroll compressor may include a casing, a drive motor, a rotary shaft, a main frame, a fixed scroll, and an orbiting scroll. A medium pressure chamber may be formed in or at a middle of the main frame, the fixed scroll, and the orbiting scroll. A pocket groove configured to guide oil discharged through the oil hole to the medium pressure chamber may be formed in an upper surface of the orbiting scroll, and a differential pressure path configured to guide the oil guided to the medium pressure chamber to the compression chamber may be provided in the fixed scroll.

Abstract: Disclosed is a scroll compressor with a refrigerant discharge flow passage and an oil recovery flow passage separated from each other to improve efficiency and reliability of the compressor. The scroll compressor includes a flow passage separation unit configured to separate an intermediate space between a drive portion and a compression portion into an inner space communicating with the refrigerant flow passage and an outer space communicating with the oil flow passage to separate the refrigerant discharge path from the oil recovery path. Accordingly, the present invention may prevent the oil from being mixed with the discharged refrigerant, thereby reducing an oil discharge amount.
