The upward-slippage prevention portion has a sloped region for receiving the seat occupant's back portion which is to be slipped or dislocated on and along the seat back under inertia when a rear-end collision occurs and thereby preventing an undesired upward slippage or dislocation of that seat occupant's back portion which will result in damage of his or her neck or cervical vertebrae.

    摘要: A seat cushion of vehicle seat including a seat cushion frame and a bottom panel member on which a foam padding is mounted. The bottom panel member has a thigh support area fixed to a forward portion of the seat cushion frame and a buttocks support area situated in a rearward portion of the seat cushion frame. The buttocks support area has a resiliently deformable area in which are formed beads, each being resiliently stretchable laterally relative to the central line thereof by a downward load applied to the buttocks support area, whereby the resiliently deformable area is rendered deformable and displaceable downwardly. The buttocks support area may be made narrow by forming two inwardly curved edge portions in the respective sides thereof to thereby allow that buttocks support area to be warped downwardly. Hence, the buttocks support area is resiliently displaceable vertically relative to the seat cushion frame.

    摘要: An impulse sequence of a pitch frequency is detected from a phase-equalized prediction residual of an input speech signal, and a quasi-periodic impulse sequence is obtained by processing the impulse sequence so that a fluctuation in its pitch frequency is within an allowed limit range. The magnitudes of the quasi-periodic impulse sequence are so determined as to minimize an error between the waveform of a synthesized speech obtainable by exciting an all-pole filter with the quasi-periodic impulse sequence and the waveform of a phase-equalized speech obtainable by applying the input speech signal to a phase equalizing filter. Preferably, the quasi-periodic impulse sequence is supplied to the all-pole filter after being applied to a zero filter in which it is given features of the prediction residual of the speech. Coefficients of the zero filter are also determined so that the error of the waveforms of the synthesized speech and the phase-equalized speech is minimum.

    摘要: A high-strength silicon nitride sintered body having a flexural strength of 100 kg/mm.sup.2 or higher and a process for producing the same are disclosed, the sintered body comprising not less than 90% by weight of a single crystalline phase of silicon aluminum oxynitride (Si.sub.6-z Al.sub.2 O.sub.z N.sub.8-z, wherein z is a number of from 0 to 4.2) having an average longer diameter of not more than 5 .mu.m and an aspect ratio of not less than 5, the crystal phase constituting a network structure in the sintered body, the balance being a crystalline or amorphous (glassy) phase comprising one or more of oxides or oxynitrides of a rare earth metal, a group 3A metal, a group 2A metal or Si, and the process comprising mixing silicon nitride powder, an organic metal salt as a first sintering aid, and at least one of a metal oxide, a metal nitride, and a metal oxynitride as a second sintering aid, either separately or as a mixture of two or more thereof, with a solvent and a surface active agent, subjecting the mixture or mixtures to ultrasonic dispersion, mixing the mixtures together followed by drying to obtain a mixed powder, molding the mixed powder, and sintering the molded article at a temperature of from 1,600.degree. to 2,200.degree. C. in a non-oxidative atmosphere.

    摘要: An adaptive predictive coding (APC) and adaptive kit allocation (ABA) system which splits a speech signal into a plurality of bands, subjecting each signal to adaptive predictive coding and adaptively changes quantization characteristics in the adaptive predictive coding so that quantization noise may become small. An average amplitude (not average power) of the signal of each band is detected for each temporal sub-interval, and a quantization bit number and a quantization step size are adaptively determined from the average amplitude for each sub-interval, thereby permitting reduction of the quantity of hardware used.
