    摘要: A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof are provided. The liquid crystal display includes a plurality of pixels, a plurality of scan lines, and a plurality of data lines. Each pixel includes a plurality of sub-pixels. Each sub-pixel is coupled to the data line, and includes a switch, a storage capacitor, and a sub-pixel electrode. The switch is coupled to a scan line to receive a scan signal. The switch is turned on by the scan signal to receive a data signal transmitted from the data line. The storage capacitors of the sub-pixels of each pixel are coupled to the scan lines, or the storage capacitor of one of the sub-pixels of each pixel is coupled to a common electrode and the storage capacitors of the other sub-pixels are coupled to the scan lines. The switch and the storage capacitor of each sub-pixel are coupled to different scan lines. The method includes transmitting the scan signal having a plurality of voltage levels to modulate the voltage levels of one or more sub-pixel electrodes of the sub-pixels of the same pixel, thereby enabling the sub-pixels of the same pixel to have different voltage levels.

A first color filter film is disposed over a photo sensor of the photo sensitive area and a second color filter film is disposed over the effective display area, wherein the color of the first and the second color filter films are different at the at least m sub-pixels. The photo sensors at the same column are electrically connected by a signal readout line, wherein only one signal readout line is disposed at every M column of the sub-pixels.

The LCD comprises a pixel, a data line, a first scan driver, a second scan driver, a first scan line and a second scan line. The pixel comprises a first and a second switches. The control ends of the first and the second switches are electrically connected to the first and the second scan lines respectively. The first scan driver is located on one side of the pixel and is electrically connected to the first scan line. The second scan driver is located on another side of the pixel and is electrically connected to the second scan line. The first scan driver and the second scan driver respectively drive the first and the second scan lines. The data line is electrically connected to the first the second switches for transmitting image data to the pixel.

The pixel array, laid on a first circuit layer, comprises at least one first pixel, at least one second pixel, at least one rescue line, and an isolation layer. The rescue line lay on a second circuit layer, positions at the gap between the first pixel and the second pixel. The isolation layer lies between the first circuit layer and the second circuit layer.

    摘要: In a method for driving a liquid crystal display, a plurality of first enabling pulses are transmitted to a first group of scan lines in a first period of a predetermined time, respectively. A plurality of second enabling pulses are transmitted to a second group of scan lines in a second period of the predetermined time, respectively. The pixel voltages of pixel units, which are connected to the scan lines of the first and second group, are different in their polarities. During the predetermined time, a common voltage signal, which has different levels in the first and second period, is transmitted to the common line. A liquid crystal display applying the above driving method is also disclosed.
