Abstract: An image processing system, an image processing method, and a program capable of implementing an association of a person appearing in a video image through a simple operation are provided. The image processing system includes an input device which accepts input of video images captured by a plurality of video cameras, a display screen generating unit which causes a display device to display at least one video image among the video images inputted from the input device, and a tracked person registering unit which is capable of registering one or more persons appearing in the video image displayed by the display device. When a person appears in the video image displayed by the display device, the display screen generating unit selectably displays person images of one or more persons, which are associable with the person appearing in the video image and which are registered by the tracked person registering unit, in a vicinity of the video image.

Abstract: An approximate positions-of-people determination means determines, for each partial area, approximate positions of people on an image on the basis of information about the partial area. A states-of-people estimation means, in addition to predicting the current states of particles from the states of particles indicating past states of people and stored in a storage means, adds new particles and evaluates the likelihood of the states of predicted particles and the added particles on the basis of an observation model generated for the observed people to update the weights of the particles, performs particle re-sampling at a probability proportional to the weights of those particles, and outputs the states of the obtained particles as a flow of people.

Abstract: An appearance presentation system is provided. The appearance presentation system can present the appearance of an object to be monitored at a position that the user designates in an image such that the user can previously grasp the extent to which the image to be captured with a camera is suitable for an image recognition process. A display control unit 10 displays, on a display device, an image obtained by superimposing an object indicator indicating the object to be monitored on an image to be captured when the camera of which position and posture are determined shoots a predetermined region to be monitored. A position designation reception unit 4 receives the designation of the position of the object indicator in the image. An image generation unit 3 generates an image to be captured when the camera shoots a state in which the object to be monitored is placed at a position that is in the region to be monitored and that corresponds to the position designated in the image. Then, the display control unit 10 extracts a part corresponding to the object to be monitored from the image generated in the image generation unit 3, and displays the part on the display device.
