Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from appropriate configuration of available bandwidth. These and other communication systems, such as wireless communication systems, may benefit from resource indication for a larger channel bandwidth. One example is further enhanced machine type communication. A method can include determining, by a radio network node, a bandwidth for allocation to a user equipment. The allocated bandwidth can include resources in a single narrowband or a plurality of narrowbands. The method can also include indicating to the user equipment the single narrowband or the plurality of narrowbands and allocated resources in the single narrowband or the plurality of narrowbands.

Abstract: A method is provided including receiving, by a user equipment from a wireless network, an indication of a plurality of contention based transmission occasions and a monitoring window size that the user equipment monitors for feedback for the contention based transmission; determining, by a user equipment of a wireless network, whether an amount of user data can be transmitted on one or more of contention based transmission occasions; performing one or more contention based transmissions during the one or more of the contention based transmission occasions based at least on the determination; and monitoring for feedback for each of the performed contention based transmissions based at least on the monitoring window size, wherein the feedback includes feedback for each contention based transmission in a feedback mapping window.

Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved transmissions. For example, a network transmission may benefit from improved throughput and efficiency in non-schedule multiple access communications. A method includes selecting at a user equipment operating in a non-scheduled access scheme at least one of a first codeword or a second codeword based on an amount of data. The data in the non-scheduled access scheme can be spread according to a spreading sequence. The method also includes determining a transport block size for at least one of the first codeword or the second codeword. In addition, the method includes transmitting the data from the user equipment to a network node using at least one of the first codeword or the second codeword.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products of preamble sequence management for contention based access are provided. One method may include a user equipment sending a contention based access (CBA) request message, such as a random access procedure (RACH) message, to a network node (e.g., a base station or eNB). The CBA request message may include an indication that the user equipment wants to obtain a preamble for CBA data transmission and is not for full network access. The method may then include receiving an allocation of a preamble for CBA from the network node.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to enhanced physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH) search space determination. In one embodiment, a base station may identify an index of the current EPDCCH occasion period, each EPDCCH occasion period including a number of subframes, and the subframes being divided to a number of search units. A distribution of EPDCCH candidates corresponding to at least one EPDCCH aggregation level in the EPDCCH occasion period may be determined based on the index of the EPDCCH occasion period and the number of search units in the EPDCCH occasion period. The base station may then select, from the distribution of the EPDCCH candidates, an EPDCCH candidate for transmitting downlink control information (DCI) to a UE.
