摘要： A system for the modification of the vibrational properties of a ski comprised of a support member having a fixed end attached to the ski, and a free end that is movable longitudinally in a holder attached to the ski and is connected by means of a piston with a hydraulic cylinder that is attached to the ski. The free end has an elongated recess in which the hydraulic cylinder is fixed to the ski and is pivotally connected to the piston. This allows the system to be used under tough conditions, protects the hydraulic cylinder from damage, and allows the hydraulic cylinder to be readily replaced.

摘要： A heel piece for a safety ski binding is provided comprising a support member in the form of a slide member on which is pivotally mounted a sole holder having a pedal, a sole engaging portion and an interior cam surface configured to cooperate with a bearing member or cam follower which engages the cam surface. The cam follower is supported by a bearing lever having an axis of rotation near the upper surface of the ski, and a connecting member. The cam surface has an upper portion, a lower portion and an intermediate critical portion, and the binding opens when the soleholder is driven upwardly so that the critical portion passes the cam follower. An opening lever for manually opening the binding is rotatably attached to the connecting member, and is pivotally mounted on the soleholder. A spring disposed between the axes of the opening lever and of the bearing lever biases the connecting member to urge the soleholder to a closed position when the cam follower is in the upper cam portion, and to an open position when the cam follower is in the lower cam portion.

摘要： A method and apparatus is disclosed for the formation of lumps or pellets of mixtures of raw materials for glass. Soda and water are added to a mixture of the raw materials in a mixing container. The resulting mixture is at least partially heated for vaporization of the water and the mixture is compressed in a roller press. Pellets or lumps result which are fed to a heat exchanger for pre-heating prior to introduction into a melting furnace. Exhaust gases from a furnace are fed to the heat exchanger and also to the mixing container and a supply container for the roller press.
