Abstract: A connector includes a cavity for stowing a pre-installed sealing member. The cavity is defined by a first or coupler seal cavity formed on the inside surface of a coupler and a second or insert seal cavity formed on the outer periphery of an insert. Relative motion of the coupler and the insert during assembly causes the sealing member to be displaced from a stowed or inactive seal position to an assembled or active seal position.
