摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer-readable media for generating a voice characteristic profile based on detected sound components. In embodiments, a call is initiated between a first caller and a second caller. Information communicated during the call is monitored to determine that sound components have been spoken by the first caller. The sound components are determined to be associated with a language dialect. Further, the sound components are stored in association with the first caller. In particular, the sound components are stored in association with the first caller in a voice characteristic profile of the first caller.

摘要: A first communication device receives a communication from a second communication device. The communication could be part of the signaling used to establish a call to the second communication device or an audio signal that the second communication device conveys after its user has answered the call and started speaking. Based on the communication from the second communication device, the first communication device provides a user-discernible indication regarding the environment in which the second communication device is being used, such as an indication that the second communication device is being used with a speakerphone. If the second communication device is being used in a vehicle, the first communication device may also provide a user-discernible indication regarding the operational status of the vehicle, such as whether the vehicle is in motion and/or the number of occupants in the vehicle.

摘要: A method and system for selecting a coverage area in which a given mobile station should operate. The system will receive user ratings of call quality per coverage area. The system will then use the received user ratings as a basis to select a coverage area in which the given mobile station should operate. The system will then cause the given mobile station to operate in the selected coverage area. By using these user ratings as a basis to select a coverage area in which the given mobile station should operate, the system can help improve call quality overall for users, thus increasing user satisfaction with wireless performance.

摘要: A plurality of client devices may each run on battery power and each experience respective battery usage while in a respective operational state. A server may receive, from the plurality of client devices, a plurality of reports correlating the client devices' respective operational states with the client devices' respective battery usage. Based on the reports, the server may identify at least two client devices in the plurality that reported a common operational state. The server may further determine a representative battery usage for the common operational state, and use this representative battery usage to predict battery usage for a particular client device that is in the common operational state. Then, the server may instruct the particular client device to take an action based upon the predicted battery usage.

摘要: A method and system for dynamic selection of user plane or control plane signaling for mobile station location determination. A positioning system receives a request for the location of a mobile station and then makes a determination, based on one or more factors, of whether to employ user plane signaling or control plane signaling to obtain mobile station location data. The factors may include mobile station capability, mobile station call state, mobile station support for user plane signaling, mobile station support for simultaneous voice and data communication, time, precision of requested location, subscriber preference, failure of control plane or user plane signaling, and preference specified by the request, among others. Given the determination, the positioning system then employs the selected signaling mechanism.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer-readable media for initiating anonymous communication between a first user and a second user. In particular, an anonymous communication request is transmitted from a first user to a session management node. The anonymous communication request may include search criteria provided by the first user. Based on the search criteria, the session management node many generate a query to a profile server. The profile server may identify a second user based on the search criteria provided by the first user. Additionally, the profile server may provide an identifier of the second user to the session management node. Further, the session management node may initiate anonymous communication between the first user and the second user.

摘要: A mobile communication device. The mobile communication device comprises a radio transceiver to communicatively couple the mobile communication device to a radio access network by a wireless communication link, a memory, a processor, and an application stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the application builds a communication history of the mobile communication device, analyzes the communication history of the mobile communication device to determine a pattern of communication usage of the mobile communication device, monitors recent communication usage of the mobile communication device, compares the recent communication usage of the mobile communication device to the pattern of communication usage of the mobile communication device, and when the recent communication usage of the mobile communication device differs from the pattern of communication usage of the mobile communication device by more than a predefined threshold, blocks at least one attempt to initiate communication by the mobile communication device.
